Alientaker's computer chasis

So instead of derailing the specials thread, I'm just going to continue here:

What i'm going for is as silent as possible cos my wife says my pc is noisy that does look nice the only thing that bothers me is drive space i have 6 drives with a 7th coming soon i only see 4 slots on that case unless the empty space above the 4 is where you hard mount the other drives.

Also the P280 takes 7 fans where of 2 can be adjusted to where you want them to blow air, the corsair has 5 and i like a cool system :)

So size wise that case is just a bit too small to my liking but i do like it and you gave me something else to look/think about (the matt finish also draws me a bit)

Just remember, more fans means more noise.
Also, smaller the fan, the louder it is. Use small fans if you want directed cooling.

What fans are you using?
You can also take a look at this:

7 expansion slots with enough quite a bit of cooling options.

I like the looks of the Cooler Master Silencio 550. Price is less than R1100 and it's got space for seven (7) 3.5" internal drives.

I have no idea how quite it really is, but googling for some reviews should sort that out.

Almost every review says the Fractal Design Define R4 is the quietest case around...so a good choice :D

Hahahahaha thanx for the thread :) well in my HAF i have 120mm fans and both the corsair and the P280 can take either 120 or 140

But i must say those other 3 look amazing and you just made my dilemma so much harder :P

Advice here please what would you guys suggest i'm done with fancy lights and all the might get a side panel but that's a big might

I'm leaning towards that fractal case :)

Using a 7870 myst with a custom profile to keep the temps under 75.

For your fan problem, you could just grab a bunch of decent (budget) fans and set them to spin at a nice and low rpm to keep the cooling constant-ish and pretty quiet...

I would not be sure how to regulate your temperature there though?

Always worth a shot...

Wait...what fan problem?

Keeping the computer quiet and at about 75 (or less) degrees constantly

They can run up to 95 degrees comfortably (apparently) and the fans wont help that much. If noise is a worse problem than heat use an overclocking program to set your card to get hotter and use a lower fan speed.

Why would you want it hotter with less fan?

He said he wants quiet and cool... Not the opposite

Would it be better to use water cooling and add maybe a big fan to cool it even more?

Me and water cooling aren't friends, Remember the old Thermaltake Big Water Cooler yeah i had 2 of those and it cost me 2 MoBo's due to faulty water blocks and clamps.

I have a coolermaster Hyper TX3 cpu Cooler atm

I'm going to get the Corsair due to space i have 6 almost 7 drives

jsut wondering if you get it in white :p

and @ Rootworm41 explain pleas (and maybe Noctua's)

They are among the best fans you can aquire but they will cost you an arm and a leg :p

I have six corsair fans in mine, 4 SP 2 AF. My case was a cool 33 degrees this morning after 3 hours of AC IV
