Alienware unveils slimmed-down laptops

What could warrant buying such an expensive laptop for gaming? Eskom power cuts within the middle of a gaming session? ;)
 
"the pair are 20% thinner than their predecessors." not such an impressive slimming-down.
Moreover, the price is pretty fair; however, the difference between 15-inch and 17-inch is really a big gap in hedel

20% is quite a lot, to be honest. Considering the tech inside the chassis, it's an engineering achievement to slim down a computer.

My HP Envy 15 is quite thin already, tapering from the back to almost paper thin in the front. I can't imagine it being any thinner than that...
