Oh dear I never even got to Forza this weekend at all. All the social activities and Battlefront made me miss putting in a few more laps. Also didn't check this morning or last night, sorry, I've been slacking on this challenge a lot.

Hehe that's fine. We can maybe take a break because it doesn't look like people are all that interested anymore.

I don't think it's a matter of losing interest (or rather, I hope not). I think the November release schedule has got people busy with other games. That's sure what's happening with me at the moment.

That's true. When I look at my friends list I just see everyone playing Fallout 4.

I started up Forza this weekend. Messed around for half hour then went back to Fallout [emoji13]
 
Okay, but if we "take a break" from the challenge, we run the risk of simply just losing interest all together and never returning to it. I would like to keep on doing this in the future, but at the moment Star Wars and Fallout is consuming all my available gaming time. What so you all think, should we take a break?

I agree completely, I haven't lost interest.
 
Okay then, the tribe as spoken. WE SHALL BE CONTINUING THE CHALLENGE!!!

I think the last one I won, but it's still up for debate whether or not my time was beaten. Going with our schedule as prescribed, the next challenger for this week is [MENTION=385]diabolus[/MENTION].
 
I've also been lost in Fallout 4, but unlike Forza, i think once i finish the main story i will most likely be done with Fallout for awhile, it is not one of those games you can just pick up and play once you're done with it (something which you can always do in Forza).

Anyhow, as for challenge, i hate driving with all these restrictions and without TCS, so my challenge is simple:

Track: Road America : Full Circuit : Day
Class : X
Restrictions : NONE , Any Car, Any upgrade, any tune.


Just to throw in a little twist, this is totally optional (it was actually my main challenge, but i think it might be a tad annoying if you want a change of pace from Fallout and just race). If you are playing Fallout 4:

Track : Airfield Circuit (it is the last track in the list, it is a very short track)
Car : Ford F100 (you should have gotten as a gift)
Class : (The default class of the car, i think it is E)
Restrictions : None, tuning allowed up to max of the class

Cool! I haven't driven anything close to the class X type cars in Forza 6 yet. :D

Will try out the Fallout bakkie too. :D
 
Cool challenge this week. Gonna first try and see which car I can upgrade to the absolute max. Pro tip for all you Pimp-My_Ride wannabes... when using the Quick Upgrade, the car will only go to the highest possible class with it's current configuration of engine etc. Go into the last part of upgrade, can't remember the name, and swop out the car's engine for something meatier and you can push your car's performance way higher than the Quick Upgrade. I did it to a Mazda Miata, and got the car up to over 800 BHP with a 0-100 time of 2.1 seconds....
 
I haven't gotten to Forza at all this week. In fact I haven't done much gaming this week at all. Will spend an hour now and see if I can put up a respectable time.
 
By Sunday only two of us participated. I think it's safe to say that this challenge has reached the end of its journey.

I disagree, I think there's just been too many other titles that have taken people interest and time.

I picked up Forza over the weekend, but more to show it off. I will play more, but like I say above.... yeah.
 
There will always be other titles, other commitments, celebrations and tragedies. There will sun and rain and storms and chilly winter mornings. Seasons will come and go and with it all manner of things that will take up our time. Half an hour a week is all that is needed to set a relatively good time. But if nobody do then this challenge is dead. As dead as a majestic rhino that was killed for its horns.

Standing far away and pointing and saying it's not dead doesn't mean that it's not dead. It just means you can't take its pulse because there's a road between you and the Forza challenge.
 
Yea, also way too many games on my plate, i got a gigantic Steam backlog i want to get through, but i'll get back to Forza eventually. There's just so much FPS shooter / RPG one can take before you just want to race properly.

I'm sure when things quiet down and people run out of new games someone can revive this, most likely in Jan/Feb since that's usually when games gets delayed all the way into April/May leaving you with nothing to play.
