All Things Forza

No you're right, it's not free... If I remember correctly it is R170 or something. Anyway... It adds a whole new "section" to the game. And Forza is apparently now the only game which has the Holy Trinity.

I'd be keen to find out how good the new track is.

I would have grabbed it immediately if Fujimi Kaido made its return to Forza.

I drove the Cayman GTS yesterday, it's so smooth! Handles like butter :D It's now in my top 4 favourite cars to drive

March 2, 2016 – At the Geneva International Motor Show, partners Microsoft’s Turn 10 Studios and Lamborghini announced their latest collaboration to feature the all-new Lamborghini Centenario super sports car as the cover car of the next title in the award-winning Forza racing franchise. The Xbox game will be unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June 2016, and the Centenario will be available “First in Forza,” giving millions of fans around the world the exclusive opportunity to experience the virtual version of the car on Xbox before its road debut.

While the "next title" is FM6: Apex, I doubt that's where the Lambo will be. The video mentions "an all new Forza game", and Apex isn't that, and it's supposedly out "Spring 2016" which is now-ish. E3 in June is Northern hemisphere Summer.

So, Forza Horizon 3 confirmed. :)

Intriguing indeed. it would be a very safe assumption that they are referring to Horizon 3, but with all the Forza Motorsport footage, I wonder it they won't be launching a stand-alone PC version of Forza Motorsport. I know Apex is the F2P version now, but I have a sneaky suspicion that Apex is a gauge Microsoft is using to see the interest for Forza on PC. Probably even a very elaborate beta of sorts, perhaps. With millions of PC players playing what seems to be a stand-alone free game, MS can test the PC version further and further and reveal the true Forza full entry for PC gaming.

If Forza becomes a full featured PC franchise, then I will have very little reason to continue to support the Xbox platform going ahead.I'm certain that its not just me who feels this way.

Tricky business for them.

Is that a rhetorical question?

It's coming out on both, get the one and you'll have the other if I understand correctly.
I should rephrase that rather.

I'm curious as to what platform people intend to play it on. The digital download is playable on both Xbox and PC, but I understand the retail disc will be Xbox only.

So Forza Horizon 3.

PC or Xbox? I will probably make my wallet extremely sad and get the digital edition so I can try both.

I will be playing the game on Xbox One. But thanks to cross play it doesn't matter which platform anyone plays it one, as we will all still be able to play together. That's the beauty of the new Xbox Live improvements.

My understanding of that reference is that the physical disc itself is only compatible in the XB1 drive - you won't be able to use the same game disc in your PC drive. Presumably if you buy XB1 physical you'll need to download to PC, and vice versa. (Assuming there even is a physical disc in the PC box and not just a download code anyway.)
Xbox One game disc for use only with Xbox One systems.
As DGH suggests, the PlayAnywhere feature implies - at least to me it does - that you should be able to play on either XB1 or PC regardless of whether you buy physical or digital, with the understanding that you'll still need to install files specific to the platform on each.
