Alpha Protocol delayed

I just saw on the BT Games website that Alpha Protocol has been delayed to February 2010. This sucks so much!!! :mad: I can live with no Bioshock 2 and all the other games that we're delayed, but now they have to take Alpha Protocol from me as well? Bastards!!! :mad: I was looking forward to this game SO badly, it was gonna be one of the only games I buy the end of this year because I can't afford all the games that are coming out and i love anything that Obsidian does. Why oh why did they have to do this? :confused::mad:
 
There is nothing on the interwebz yet. Not that i can see anyways. Googled Alpha Protocol Delayed only comes up with the previous delays. I am also really looking forward to this game will Suck Major Nards if its delayed till 2010.

Update: ReGoogled. Still no mention of it being delayed. Wonder where BT gets their info.

Checked Take2.co.za they have it as Mar 2010

Play.com, Amazon.com, Wikipedia and the Alpha Protocol Main Site still has it as Oct 09.

Like i said the actual game site still has it as Oct 09. So id wait for something official first.

Yeah, I hear you man, let's just hope they got misinformed or something :p Cause if it is really delayed until 2010 I'm gonna be so :mad:
 
It seems more and more titles are being moved to Q1 2010 to prevent bad sales in comparison to other AAA titles. This is funny since they will now all be competing with all the other titles that are being moved into that bracket >_>;;

My thoughts exactly! I can understand that publishers want to avoid bringing games out close to the release dates of big titles such as Modern Warfare 2, but now everybody is delaying their games to Q1 2010 which is stupid. Now all the delayed games are gonna compete with each other :confused: At least Ubisoft ain't afraid of no competition with Assassin's Creed II and I give them the proverbial thumbs up for sticking to their release date. :D

I know there's a lot of great games coming end of this year but I was really looking forward to Alpha Protocol. That and Dragon Age were the only two games I was gonna get for now, because I'm trying to save up for a new PC and they will keep me occupied for a long time. Now Dragon Age is only coming end November (to PS3, I'm still getting the CE, but I doubt that my PC can handle it) and Alpha Protocol might only be coming next year. :(
 
I think publishers are afraid of releasing new IP's such as AP with Hugely hyped games such as Dragon Age and MW2 and AC II coming out.

This is the first time I actually read someone say DAO is hugely hyped. On most of the places like gamespot forums people complain that it isn't hyped enough.

My comment wasn't aimed at you specifically. Was just giving my personal thoughts on the situation. I know how it feels when a game you have been looking forward to gets delayed. I felt the same way in march when they announced the Dragon Age delay.

Gamestop still has end of October release date. So there's still hope.

Nah SA gets all its stuff from Europe so if its delayed in Europe its delayed here. There is no mention on the internet of any delay until 2010 in any region. So i really dont know.
 
I know that we get our stuff together with Europe, but the only reason I can think of why both Take 2 and BT has it for next year is that the South African supplier has decided not to bring it into the country until next year. Why they would do that I do not know. We'll just have to wait and see.

See i also can think of no reason why the sa suppliers would decide to move it to next year if its still being released on time across the world.

If Tinman wonders onto this thread check with your buddies at megarom if they know anything about a delay.
