Alts !? Do you have them and why ???

Normally I would make my first char your typical fighter so that it can be the harvester of goods.

As for my ALTS it is either to test play or go down the line of something funny or specific. As with TSW I have my main as an elemental/shotgun and one of my alts as just rifle. He's a bit of a pet project coming over from Hellgate London ;)

Alts !? Do you have them and why ???

I have 2 capped toons - a melee and a caster - that I use for raiding and general loot gen/income/crafting. They are exclusively used for raiding, no normal questing. For that I have a Completionist toon that I keep true reincarnating about every 3 weeks or so. That toon I play daily.

Oh, I also have about 5 bank toons ...... coz like I can be hoarder :D

...to add I also keep a spare or two I only use to COOP with either my SO or someone. If only one char then its meh to wait for them to be able to lvl ;)

I have two in GW2 atm, one Caster one Melee, and just for the sake of trying both out. I am not an altaholic like some people. :p

Confirmed and admitted altaholic, I play them in MMOs, simply because I like exploring game systems and seeing how tactically different classes actually are under the same conditions.

I have 3 currently in GW2, 1 for leveling with friends (my main that will get all the achievements and so forth as well), 1 to play when I feel like soloing for a bit. And the newest one is just a melee class so I can test it out. Especially since I am more of a ranged player, I love having alts to test the difference in combat styles.

In WoW (which I havent touched in over 2 years woooooooooooot) I had severe altitis. I had one of each class basically and all where lev 80 - 85 when I gave up on the game.

Hmmm ... I suppose I would be a confirmed altaholic - my list is as follows:

Aion: 8 chars (one of each class)
GW1: 9 chars (one of each class + dedi PvP)
STO: 3 chars (one of each profession)
GW2: 6 chars (1 x 57, others ranging between 10 and 21)

I guess I do take it to extremes, but it's always part of the fun for me to experience the different play-styles each class has to offer, and I have a tendency to bounce around between character within a single session. Other than that I don't have any particular reason for it - it's just something I do :)
