AM3+ gets Sli

This is a good thing, proper AMD Sli motherboard... My nvidia card will be happy when his two new younger brothers join the party.
 
Ooohhh. Sounds exciting. I still won't get AMD though. Just had some bad experiences and they just dont give the performance Intel give us.
Sorry AMD/ATI, I'm an Intel/Nvidia fanboy now.
 
Great news!! I have been an Intel owner all my life and with my next upgrade I am thinking of branching over to AMD.. and my only concern was that was running a Nvidia card.. Thats great news! just made my day!
 
Very welcome news indeed. Read the review of the Asus FX990 board and was a little underwhelmed to be honest. It will all depend on what those Zambezi/Bulldozer chips can do IN those boards that will seal the deal or not for many people. Thought the added edition of SLI on AMD boards was long overdue.

The tests were done with bios changes and old phenom chips... I would not look at the benchies yet as they mobo's are limited by the poor performance of the phenom chips.

INtel only offer 8x in each pcie slot, so having full 16 in all slots will be amazing.

So, bulldozer chips should be out next week (touch wood), and the full potential of these boards can then be judged.
