AMD Mantle 45% faster in BF4

Yeah, I got it working. Although, my experience of the two rounds I played with it on has been pretty negative.

Fps drops where I have never experienced before, going right down to 10 fps in some locations.

This thread gives a good idea of my experience.

I'm looking at the new FX chips don't think i need to go the APU route rly with my current card i think it would be a waste. maybe a 6 or 8 core i'm still pondering, you have any ideas?

So glad to see i wasn't the only one with issues i also had fps drops and the whole getting into a tank crashing and then there is the new sound bug :(
 
Well it's just come out, so obviously there will be some bugs for them to fix. This seems to be more of a test to see how it performs in the real world.

Well if you saw the mantle announcement vid there were 2 massive lag spikes :D
 
After spending some time with it, I have had the odd crash here and there, my mate on the other hand with his FX8350 and R9 290 is playing perfectly fine and he has definitely gained some performance.

Its still in the early stages, but I reckon Mantle is def a game changer.
Im not sure BF4 was the best title to use for the Mantle launch, seeing as the game has had issues from launch.

I think Thief would have been a better choice.
