But! R8000? Hoooooly crap! I WISH! I think I might start a new fund- the GPU fund; deposit a few bucks in there every month until I can afford it
That's just my speculation, it might be a little cheaper. I wouldn't be that surprised if they made it R7K.

Rather buy 2x 6950/6970's or invest in a case longer than a limo =P

But seriousness in perspective, running SLI is pretty noisy and power consuming. (Unless you can space the cards 3-4 slots away from each other --- ie: 4-5 PCI-E slot board)
The single card, Dual-GPU solution is typically quieter and less consumptive.
Besides, the kind of person buying a monster like that wont be doing it the injustice of trying to stick it in a micro case
