AMD Ryzen laptop chips could take on Intel

Same question I asked on the MyBB forum:

"AMD’s previous mobile processors were traditionally unable to compete well against Intel’s products, due to Intel’s superior integrated graphics and better performance-per-watt."

In what century have Intel ever had superior integrated graphics?

Superior vs other integrated ones. When Intel started adding gfx to their core stuff they were killing everything else in the market.

Who besides Intel has done integrated graphics for laptops? Discounting the usual AMD/Nvidia discrete laptop GPU's, and those have always been vastly superior to any Intel IGP.

We might be thinking diff timescales here ;)

Both ATI (!!!) and Nvidia used to do integrated's. As did SIS. There was also ifgx or some acronym like that. The guys that wrote the predecessor of OpenGL also used to do some card thing...might be SIS. It's all a blur to be honest...and frankly not even confident those are all laptop integrateds vs desktop.

As I said it was all a bit low key until Intel stomped on it all with on-cpu-die GFX.
