Anonymous Is Hacking Sony

A couple of people have told me that some high tech Russian thieves are to blame for the security breach but i'm fairly convinced that this is Anonymous' doing. They did say they had something big up their sleeves. Either way, now is a good time to boycott Sony.

Also; four out of the five articles in the MyGaming featured articles list are about Sony, now that's a PR disaster, then again they do say "all publicity is good publicity".
 
Personally, I don't care for any of this- I only have my sympathies for Sony in this balls up. What I would like to know though is if the PS3 console prices will be coming down? :P

LOL. Well, I don't have a PS3 so it's interesting! The magnitude of Sony's situation is grim though, and I would not be surprised if they get sued into oblivion. I do feel for them.

Why is it a good time to boycott Sony, at least they did the safe thing and pulled down the entire network, and are currently rebuilding the thing from the ground up, than wait for the metaphorical Sh*t to hit the hyperdrive.

Here is another thought, maybe 4 out of 5 articles on MyG is about Sony due to the small, and often overlooked fact, that is what is NEWS at the moment, you know since this is a news site which reports on news in the gaming world....
 
And the award for recycling the same point and using it as a rebuttal goes to OmegaFenix :D I know MyGaming is a news site and that's why i used them as an example of how Sony's public image is not looking good at the moment. Sony is just another headless money-hungry corporate behemoth that deserves to be boycotted, do you really need any more reason than that?

For the record, if i couldn't afford a PC i'd much rather buy a PS3 than an XBox but it's the engineers at Sony that deserve the praise, not management.

There is no I in team. All the engineers in the world would mean nothing with out a decent marketing department, bean counters, even little old ladies that answer phones.

I dont have everyone, i hate the human species, human nature and society. There is a difference between being able to see that you need a team to be able to achieve certain goals and wanting to become best friends with said team.

No not really hey.. Obviously I just see things differently than you. I just don't think there's any point in disliking everyone before you know who and what they are. :D Not everyone is that bad you know..

Well it seems to be since it always comes up, my wife has less of an issue with me disliking people than you...

Everyone may not be "that" bad but the sad true is most people are. Most people are stupid, ignorant and deserve little more than to be put out of my misery. Do a quick scan through this forum or any other forum on the net and with in the span of 5 minutes you will have come over multiple posts than only prove that humanity is fucked. FFS there is a guy in the "Osama is a dead man" thread that, and I quote;

But seriously, I just think that sometimes you take things too seriously. Humanity might be fucked, but you're not helping by just pointing it out and leaving it at that.

If it was up to me id wipe the slate clean and start over.

Why? Because they are money hungry? BS! Then all companies are "bad". Its not illegal or "bad" to overprice something or give a limited service. Its the consumers own stupidity to go head over heals into a sale without doing his/her homework. 99% of the time there are choices.... (Telkom and Eskom excluded :p) If you don't like Vodacom then support MTN or CellC. Each to his own, because you didn't like the helpdesk lady at the local Vodacom shop doesn't mean Vodacom is bad and we should boycott it. I'm going off topic with the cellular story (personal expirience lately) but what I'm getting at is Sony is just a normal big company like MS, Samsung, LG etc. Each one trying to get ahead in the market.

What has Sony done that's "bad"? Please elaborate?


And all this from a Xbox fanboy... :eek:

That kinda reminds me of the the Noah's Ark story...

Anyway, I think everyone would love a clean slate. And maybe that's why you don't like me, because I generally like people. I try to not focus too much on the stupid and ignorant, because that would just drive me insane.
