Anonymous promises to take down Facebook on 5 November

I have to see this also not a fan of Facebooks Can't delete my fking acount policy.

Waits with popcorn and coke fot the 5th of november :D

Hmm, wonder if Facebook will be able to implement security good enough to withstand this attack, seeing as they're given a warning with more than enough time to do so.

what i dont get is why announce your plans before doing it. Just go and do it already

Because think of all the stress the persons/company handling their servers.

Its like I am saying I am going to break into your house on the 5th. Suddenly you go out and buy dogs/gun repair that fence and what not. And then nothing happens on the 5th and you are so stressed because why did I not come the 5th where am I.

I would love to see this happen. I am sure Facebook have already upped their security due to the recent Google+ "we're safer" issue.

Also, Guy Fawks day.. Too much coincidence :p

Haha makes me think of V for Vendetta.

"Remember, Remember the 5th of November"...

LOL I think that was the point. Well, more Guy Fawkes-ish.

Also, I am really getting sick of these guys. Did they just refer to themselves as the "rulers of the internet"?

I hope Facebook sets up a massive security firewall tracking thingy, and they catch every one of these script kiddies and send them all the prison...

I HATE DDOS attacks... and I HATE hackers who have bad intentions....

The problem is, they do have a point. Your personal life is on display for anyone to see, and for anyone connected to you.

There have been so many flaws with FB and I am a little bit worried that Anon does succeed. Remember how the PS Network was bent over a barrel? If this happens to FB, they will lose a lot of...erm, face.

Then Google+ steps up to the plate and invites people over. Replacing one evil with another I suppose :)

I would like to see them try, I doubt it will be done via a destributed denial-of-service attack though.

You'd think that facebook, given it's unique architecture and size would be rather hack proof...but I'm looking forward to seeing what actually happens...

Now now anon kiddies, just because you have so few friends on Facebook doesn't mean you have to hack the system :D
