Another Job Opportunity (C# / .NET)!

Guys and gals, I'm urgently looking for a C# / .NET developer with a primary focus on web service / API development and integration. If you are familiar with DNN (DotNetNuke) all the better, but just decent knowledge of web applications and related technologies should suffice.

The position is at one of my clients that is located in the greater Sandton area, so you will be expected to commute to the client's premises every day. You can arrange for flexible hours (my current guy there does roughly 06:00-15:00 each day). Work needs to commence on 1 October at the client and you will be there for at least 6 months. When you get off the project you will most likely work at another client or, if we have an in-house project, at our offices.

So, in summary:
 • Skills: C#, T-SQL, web service / API development
 • Experience: At least 3 years
 • Location: Sandton
 • Start Date: 1 October
Any takers or leads to a suitable candidate?

I am so perfect for this job but sorry FarligOpptreden, I am not currently willing to change jobs.

For a couple of years all I did were integration, web services and creating and working with other APIs.

Lately I've been mostly developing web applications. However even these applications have their own APIs for other applications to integrate with.

You know that we have more projects coming up that will involve awesome web-based work as well, right? Especially for a client of ours in the FSP industry... I need to give a start date for a prototype project to kick off after which we're sure to roll out a larger project there which will change the future of their business completely. It will be fairly groundbreaking work and you will have some of the biggest financial institutions (banks, insurance houses, brokerages, etc) using this solution once its done.

When will you be ready to change jobs? :p

EDIT: There's also a bunch of native mobile app work (Android and iOS) coming up as well, for which I'm busy preparing proposals. Then there's some nice data warehousing, dashboarding and MIS work as well. Oh, and an automated test tool for a very niche industry is also in the works - we're trialing it at a large corporate as I type this. That's all the "other" projects besides standard build-what-the-client-requires work.

Haha not anytime soon. I cost a fortune! :p Seriously though I am currently comfortable and I work very close to where I live. I also pretty much have free reign in the design and development of the projects I do which is great.

I'm hoping that the next time I change jobs it will be to work for myself but who knows what will happen in the future.

If I ever change my mind and want to change jobs you'll be the first person to know FarligOpptreden but for now I'm comfortable in my current setup.

Good luck in finding someone though!
