I'm passion Deaf gamer along some Deaf player playing various game like Dota2, CS:GO, Borderlands, any games we enjoy that we can team up for matches.

We only rely on typing and short cut key. As I know sometime it not perfect as it just a game to enjoy.

We can't hear but we have eye, hand skill and brainstorm.

So if you are Deaf, either can't hear or fluent in Sign Language. Join our Steam group:

Don't want to sound rude, but how do deaf players play online together? I suspect there is a lot of text during play?

This is a beautiful thing. Personally I respect the deaf a great deal and would love to learn to sign. But coming to having and playing together and co-op. Take a game like Journey, I have played by it only once as I want to remember that experience. There is co-op only, but it is done so beautifully that no voice or text is needed. If almost becomes intuitive and you begin to sense what the other play is doing or wants. Same goes for Destiny. U have been teaming up with randoms, through no voice integration and in a large open world, you get feeling of what the other wants to do. Great thread this!

People have taken voice chat for granted, and to a large extent it has made people impatient (because you need to respond immediately).

I would have no problem playing online with a deaf teammate, as I think just using text to communicate would be refreshing.

Hi there, if I'm not mistaken you're the same guy on this article. Anyway, I really have some deep respect for people who can still pursue their passions regardless of any challenges in their paths.

Hagan, it is good question. we dont have problem with text communication. except unless if there is urgent necessary to messaging for like good example in DOTA2 Chat wheel which it is easy accessible for Deaf Gamer.

Grievous, you make me laugh when you say Deaf gamers communicate better than some Russian.
