Anybody played Fable Anniversary?

Has anybody played this game? Did anyone like it?
I've started playing it a couple of weekends ago and I'm a couple of hours in but I just can't get into this game. Feels a lot like a game for kids. Basically I just want to know if things pick up later on or whether I should stop now and move on.

I played the first Fable which I think you are playing the remake of. This was many years ago. But it wasn't my cup of tea either. My wife loved it. Then she played Fable 2 and she sees it as one of the best games that she ever played. I wasn't that impressed at all. I'm with you on this one. It feels like a game for kids. Very simplistic in a way yet probably too complicated for kids anyways. Yet it has such critical acclaim!

Thanks. That settles it for me then. I think that is why I bought it... all the "critical acclaim".
