Anyone know where I can get a PC Xbox controller?

Hi guys

I tried Zaps and Landmark, both said mid November. Does anyone have a idea where I can get one? It's the wireless controller that can talk to both the PC and Xbox.

BT games is selling them for R399. That's R100 cheaper than a regular 360 controller. (I'm not kidding)

Thanks Sirf, called the local BT now and they have. Win! Wish they would improve their site though, would have saved me some headaches.

Uhm dude.... you can buy ANY wireless XBOX 360 controller and a play-and-charge kit - connect the controller with the charger cable to one of your PC's USB ports and your PC will recognize the XBOX controller. Then, when the XBOX wireless controller receiver becomes available again, just buy it.

Can I just ask Why-The-F!@# people think that there is a special "PC" version of the XBOX 360 controller? They're the same damn thing!!! *facepalm*

Yes they are the same thing, but, they are priced differently from suppliers

The wireless one comes with a dongle, like this. Just the dongle is R300, so get the wireless controller, works with the PC and Xbox for R100 more, and I have a second controller. This works out much cheaper as well. There is some logic to my madness.

Didn't know about the play and charge kit, thanks.

Neo, dis verkeerd!

The play and charge kit does not work to enable you to use your controller with the pc. When you plug it in it does install a fake driver so that it can charge, but it does not enable the controller for use.

I have tried this personally and have spent countless hours on the internet searching for a work around.

Once upon a time I bought a wired Xbox 360 controller for R250. No battery fuss and it's always 'detected.' I haven't seen them for ages and I've been actively looking. Anyone spotted a wired Xbox 360 controller for sale lately?

They aren't produced anymore. I was told this by a BT games rep +-3 years ago. I managed to find one for myself at Musica Canal Walk. I have never seen one since. Kalahari.net is still selling them. Whether they have stock is another question.

Lol! Try it out. If you get it to work without the receiver I will be shocked out of my mind. I bought the play and charge kit because my receiver broke. Imagine my surprise when it didn't work. :(

charge n play kits only transfer power and not data. zaps or usa/uk import via take2 about only online i saw for around the R300 mark. there's also this dude on bidorybuy that sells them. apparently you get a cable that makes your wireless a wired controller which should work on pc...
