Apparent GTA 5 details!!!

the more realistic the better.

One shot kill would be awesome. "whistling:

Funny you should say that. I agree but many may not.

Realism in the form of improved Artificial Intelligence is good but you cannot make it too realistic, gameplay that is. Adding features to make the game more realistic like having to refuel your vehicle, clean your weapon and the desire to eat could be added but improved realism when it comes to your survivability is a touchy subject.

True realism isn't always the answer as you well said. However it could be done but would require a completely different approach to not only level design but combat and AI. You would need to take replace heavy fast paced combat with more slow paced strategic combat. I Am Alive is doing something along these lines.

I have been playing around with ideas for possible mechanics to make a "realistic" yet still fun and acceptable action game.

And no reloading save games if you die?

I have often thought a sleep save feature like in Dead Rising would work in a more "realistic" game. It only saves when you sleep and you can only sleep in certain spots. Also proving the protagonist with something like a cloned body could make for a mechanic similar to that seen in Demon's Souls and Dark Souls.

You have to admit the euphoria engine is pretty much the best AI in games today though. and it was used in GTAIV and Force Unleashed.

GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas did that...

Euphoria is brilliant, they just need to deduce the ragdol a bit. People holding onto the car door as you sped of in GTA IV was brilliant.

taking it a little too far but there should be a limit on the number of saves. That along with smarter AI is a recipe for white knuckle gaming.

For me some of the best moments in gaming is the tension of knowing one wrong move and you're dead, cowering behind cover trying figure out how you're going to get out of this predicament. If you pull it off, awesome.

Add to that your adversary being more than a mindless goon but a character with depth makes that one bullet that takes him out all the more satisfying.

They should make flying better. I couldn't really fly helicopters in IV. They shouldn't remove the dating feature, and have a better mission checkpoint system. I hated dying and doing alot of things again. They should not make the city as big as the commentor posted (15 minute drive!!) otherwise everyone might revert to using taxi cabs. Rockstar should focus on the fun this time instead of the story

Yeah it's not like you could you know buy a controller and plug it into a PC ;-) a little bit of unreleased wrath there tpex ;-)
I don't like playing FPSs with a gamepad. I brought a PC game, is it too much to expect to be able to play it fully with a mouse and keyboard?

I can't stand playing GTA on pc. The camera being controlled with the mouse makes it difficult

Oh dear... There aren't enough black protagonists in games but if this turns into another San Andreas with the whole African-American gangster stereotyping, then regardless of how formidable a game this is, consider my interest zero.

I hear you restore health at KFC in the game

From the sounds of these details your probably going to need a super computer to run this game nicely *looks for 9gag rage comic to fit the situation

Strangely enough, GTA IV was the very first GTA I have never played to completion (talking about main storyline here). It was really good but it was missing alot of the fun from the previous outings of the series. San Andreas was decent (ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS FOLLOW THE DAMN TRAIN CJ!) but Vice City was just very cool :)

Big fan of the series, think I should crack at GTA IV again so I am ready for GTA V. And stop whining about ghetto protagonists, the entire series has been pretty much rags to riches formula.
