The Xbox One is finally launching here in SA, and I am super excited! My pre-order is already done and dusted and I will be getting the console on the launch date. I settled for the bundle without Kinect, as it give me a bit more money in my budget to spend of either games or other peripherals. And here in lies my problem...

The bare-bones Xbox bundle includes two game download codes (Forza 5 and Fifa 15) and only has one controller. I am not sure what else to go for at launch though. Should I get an extra controller? Should I rather get additional games?

I have condensed my options to two now: either an additional controller + Destiny, or get Ryse Son of Rome and pre-order Forza Horizon 2.

So, my question to you is, are you getting the Xbox One? Which bundle? What other extras are you getting? Do you actually care about the launch of the Xbox One, or am I alone on this bandwagon?

Nah, I don't watch TV, and they don't have any good exclusives, so I have no use for it. Also, why no poll?

Why no poll? Because i honestly didn't think about that at all..."whistling:

Your view on the lack of exclusives is understandable. To me personally, Forza is enough of a validation to buy the console. And now that you mention it, I wonder if DSTV integration will be available from launch?

yes , but not this year (made a mistake of getting a 360 at launch dec 2006) 14 months later it rrod'd had a fight with incredible corruption about warranty etc. and then i Had to pay MI Digital R700 for a replacement which is still working surprisingly.

nope, but only because i already have a PS4 and and xbox 360 that still works just fine. cant justify another console

Damn you Hammer, make me so gosh darn tempted. I have always loved forza and that's enough of a reason for me.

But I would go with the spare controller option, always good to have a spare.

No, at least not in the beginning. I'm not against the console or anything, but there really isn't any exclusives that justify the cost of the console for me. The only exclusive I was interested in is Dead Rising 3, but I already have that on PC now. I will probably end up getting the console eventually though, I like having all the consoles (except Wii consoles, nothing of interest to justify a purchase for me).

I wont be joining in the X-1 fun, as I have a PS4... As much as i would love to have both, i cant justify it... Iv always been a PS owner, in saying that iv got nothing against X-Box, I got my PS4 as a gift, so the decision was made for me... and im happy with the PS4 so yip...

From my side you definitely want to go with a second control... I got my PS4 with 2 remotes and Injustice... always good fun to play with mates...

I can't afford new consoles at the moment :(

Although I love my xbox, I think that when I do eventually manage to get a new console, I think I'm still leaning towards a PS4 mostly because of the good experience I've had with PS+ over XBL.

I can't justify buying a console at all, as I don't even have enough time to play all the games I have on my PC. I wish I had more time to play games, maybe then I would consider getting a console as well.

Might get a console once I have kids and they are old enough, so they won't be stuffing up my PC :D

I consider myself a heavy game-kop, and would really want to get the eggsbox1, but cannot justify why I should have Another next-gen console in my house. Already have a mid-range gaming PC and PS4. Both getting equal attention. Getting the eggbox1 will mean I'm gonna neglect the other gaming machine and would eventually just gather dust.

For R299 per month from FNB, I am very tempted, but don't Really need it.

I wouldn't be opposed to getting one, but right now there are just no upcoming exclusives that (to me) are system sellers. Already have a PS4 and unless Microsoft somehow manages to create an IP that can make me want the Xbone, that's all I'll have this gen.

I will buy one but before that happens I need to upgrade my pc.When the next gears launches I will have to have one prob buy one cheap.

Im Happy with my PS4, and my gaming money is going into my last few PC parts that I need. With my PS4 & PC all my gaming needs are pretty much covered. I still want to get a Vita for travelling though.

I imported mine in December and it gathered dust for most of this year. The interface was clunky and not user friendly. However, MS has been releasing awesome updates consistently and they've made it so much better to use.

Last night was an great example of what made me feel like it was 'next gen'. I got home, said "Xbox on" and it turned on the console and TV while I got my things in order. I then started the download from phone for Forza Horizon 2 via smartglass. When I finally sat down to play, I started up Forza 5, and it resumed exactly where I had left off last week Friday. It was like I had paused the game. (Disclaimer: I don't know if PS4 can do this. If it can, awesome)
