Arma 3 Alpha 'Lite' invites

Hi guys, I'm super interested in Arma 3 and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the alpha but I'm wondering if anyone has an invite for me to the lite version - wanna give it a shakedown before I part with mah dollaz.

Played about an hour and a half. It looks and feels great and totally worth it imo.

Alpha lite invites can only be send after the 15th and only gives you access to the 4 single player showcases & limited editor, no multiplayer

No worries - I'm not really too stressed about no mulitplayer yet. Just want to confirm that my rig can actually run this thing properly (I'm just within minimum spec) and get a little used to the controls.
Once the end of the month rolls by I'm sure I'll be back here with a couple invites to share :)

my friend has 3 I think. I'm buying it tomorrow so will have another 3 available.

The issue is that an alpha or beta will always have sub-par optimization regarding performance. For example, I can play single player at ultra, but the second I play MP (irrespective of number of players), I need to change things down quite a bit to get 60+ FPS.

Thing to remember about the arma series is that with arma and arma 2 the goal was to run it at 30fps. There are large numbers of threads all over the web dedicated to get close to 30 :) we are now very spoilt since we can tweak it to get 60fps for mp :) it was unthinkable not very long ago :) (I remember a thread where a guy was getting 10fps and he created a ramdrive to run the game in, giving him a 8 fps gain :) )

On my rig... i5 2500K (stock), 8GB DDR3-1600Mhz, AMD 5870 (OC) I get 35 - 45 fps stable on high, the game looks amazing and feels smooth, so most people shouldn't have an issue.

I have a key spare.

What resolution you playing on? I have better specs but my fps drops from 60-80 in sp to 15-30 in mp. Guess theres still loads of optimizing to do.

Well done you guys *round of applause* and I'm sure that as the game gets optimised you'll be getting more than a paltry '30 fps on high', but let's keep this open for those of us who have to wait in line for a key rather than just buying it outright.

Mine runs very well in sp & mp
(i7 3770k, 670oc etc)

Play with your settings manually. A bunch of ppl complain about fps drop in TDM. You don't need big draw distances in tdm. Also remember that if you try and play custom missions with to many things be scripted in at once it will cause lag in the alpha.
The editor has the ability to dynamically call things in as the mission goes along, but not all ppl know about or do it when creating missions
Still a long way to go and imo this is the best alpha I've seen to date. I see big and good things for Arma 3 going forward.

This should help:
