Army of Two 40th Day PS3

The demo is available for download from the US PSN store. It's just under 1.5 GB, also it's a co-op only demo, either splitscreen or online. I downloaded it last night, but haven't checked it out yet, will do that after work, which is only on about ten hours ...

So I played the demo tonight with another local dude, and I must say I am somewhat impressed. It looks like a totaly different game when compared to the first one. The whole moral system that they added is quite cool and you can now upgrade your weapon at any time, as long as you're not currently engaged in combat. Enemies also drop ammo and money and you can pick up their weapons as well. You can also sneak up on a commanding officer and force his subordinates to surrender instead of shooting at them and raising the alarm. Graphically it looks superior to the first one although the character models need some work, especially the npc's (the textures on some of their clothes are very blurry and not sharp/crisp at all). Can't wait for the full game.

Most game demos use low-res textures to keep the download size down. :)

Also, I'm really looking forward to this game. I loved the first one. It was incredibly stupid, but incredibly fun too.

out of curiosity, (being new to psn and all) how does one sign up on the US store?

I created a new user on my PS3, so that I don't have to swap login details all the time to access different region's stores.
When logged in as that user, I signed up for PSN, using a spare email address, and providing an address I found via Google (I think they only really care about the zipcode) and choosing Canada as my home country (I guess you could also use USA or Mexico)

The North American store is so much better than the EU store! Especially their PS1 games, they get games like the Oddworld series and Legacy of Kain, we get shit Disney games :(

I played the demo the other day with a mate, won't say this game appeals to me. Wasn't really a fan of the 1st one either to be honest so will be giving this 1 a skip :)

I'm almost finished with the game and IMO it was a waste of cash. Don't get me wrong, the game is good, AI has some major improvements over the first game, and graphics are better, etc, but the campaign is too short and online play is completely broken. If it doesn't freeze when starting a game, it lags like hell.
:mad::mad::mad:

Wish I skipped it, but I can't resist new games. At least I found someone who wants to buy it from me.

Now Darksiders is an AWESOME game. Really enjoyed every second of it. Man, I wish I could play ME2, but my PC is dead and I don't have an XBOX :(
