Through some keen observation I've noticed we have a few artists on the forum, so I think it would be cool to see/hear/read what kind of art the forumites are cooking up, whether it's music, visual art, or whatever else you guys consider art.
As it's customary for the OP to start things of, I'll post a piece I wrote some time last year.
The Piece Unworthy of the Society Puzzle
Labels are abundant amongst us
Labels designed by conniving masters
Masters who manipulate society and in turn,
Manipulate our demeanor, change our behavior,
Alter our composure, making them, as dreadful as it sounds, our ultimate masters.
Now isn't that, once you ponder, a devious crime?
One that is borne of intentions, complications, stipulations,
Presented in an assortment of manifestations...
Nay! That barely hinges towards being the crime of all time
The true crime lies within the victims. Victims? Yes, VICTIMS...
They sketch you as a nerd, they color you a slut, they pen you as a dog
They paint you Socially Awkward, they water down the ideals in your blood as naive
They label you a fool
You modify your being and persona in order to fit in like a cliché trying to be cool
We fail to question by which standards we're being judged and ridiculed
We fail to ask whosoever deemed these standards worthy or acceptable
See where I'm going with this?! Do you see where WE are going with this?!
By this mentality some may deem me insane, deranged, or crazy
But how do we define insanity?
As a matter of fact, if you'd do your research right and right now,
not even with your entire might
Find those demeaning and outcast perpetuating terms
You will find one common theme: different, out of the ordinary, abnormal
As it may seem
Wait! Isn't Good different from Bad
or Happy from Sad? Pink from Blue? Shirt from Shoe?
So DIFFERENT has a time and a place now?
Call me crazy, insane with a wire in a bend
Because I fail to follow and adapt to a trend
All I'll do is bask in simple laughter and tell you,
IF being different is cause for insanity as a diagnosis,
Then maybe, just maybe, I'm one of the craziest individuals you'll come across
So you can go ahead, judge me. Shame on you
Should I begin to acknowledge your judgement, shame on me for being the bigger fool
Because… I am one piece that doesn't fit into the society puzzle.

), I do poetry (haven't written anything since Jan), I make music digitally (nothing since Feb). Laziness and general life just makes one so lazy.
