Assassin's Creed III Thread

With the release of Assassin's Creed III in SA only a few hours away, it's only right to get a thread started. Seeing as a few reviews have made their way around, it is indeed looking to be a very promising title. What are your thoughts and opinions?
 
I cannot wait! The stunning graphics alone make me excited! And then there is the tree climbing. Hope connor is twice as badass as ezio :)

I had my Freedom Edition in my hands earlier today but could not take it. :( Working until 18:00 tomorrow but I'm off on Thursday and Friday so I am going to get some serious time in tomorrow night, can't wait. :D

Since for some as yet unknown reason only shitty Gamestop UK had the freedom edition and they wanted me to pay full price for it when I ordered it back in April. The Ubistore fucked me over by cancelling my order because my bank flagged their authorising attempt, a month before release as "fraudulent". So I decided to pick up this beauty off Amazon. Behold Connor - The Hunter who is, IMNSHO, is way better than the one that comes with the Freedom Edition. That being said I would still jump at a chance to get the freedom edition :D

I think it will compliment my Join or Die Edition Nicely.

That one I got free when trying Hitman Absolution at the Eurogamer Expo, the 10" one that comes with the Deluxe Professional Edition is even more Awesome and when I get it the little one will move to my work Desk.

I can't comment on the actual game yet, but holding my collectors (freedom) edition in my hands I can tell you, the figurine is simply mind blowing!

The reviews on this game are way too mixed to be taken seriously. I think this is one of those games which you have to play for yourself. Just like in the movie world, if you were the type of person who listens strictly to what Barry Ronger says about a movie - you would miss out on 90% of the good movies out there.

I'm glad I've got the entire series and I can't wait to finish them all. :)

Lol yeah same here, just waiting for this damn patch to finish So I can play!! :(
 
Got a good 2 hours in yesterday night and loved every moment of it. The new combat system is a welcome change from the old one and Im going to enjoy mastering it. I love the new animations and how smooth it all is. I dont like that Desmond suddenly looks different. The story taking its time to get going is also nice. I cant wait to get home today and play more.
 
Got a Great 3-4 hours assasin's creed 3 experience. I spent the majority of time staring at all the pretty scenery. Everything feels so smooth compared to the previous titles. The c ombat system is great,fast and fluid. I'm a quick adapter and slayed allot of templars with minimal effort. First impressions? Best one so far story is great, and very emotional.
 
Got about 2 hours in last night, I had to force myself to stop playing and go to bed.
So far, it's brilliant. Loving the time period, combat is awesome and the attention to detail is amazing.
