Assholes who send abusive messages on XBL

Yoh, what gives people the right to send abusive messages to other people on XBL?

Its damn annoying and often happens. I dont mind so much when it happens to me, but just recently my wife was playing MW3 by herself and had one good game. She was running around mainly with dual FMG9's and got a great score. THen some asshole send her a message along the lines of, "YOu f&%ing P, thats f&%ing gay! F@#k you! etc etc etc" along those lines for about 15seconds.

Now is that really necessary?! Really? Does anyone else have this kind of issue?

No coz we dont play MW3:p

If you get a message like that, as you will the interwebz being full of people like that, you can report the user as well as block any further communication. As for verbal abuse during gameplay, there is also reporting the user or just muting everybody.

Too true. But really, I have never felt the need to send a message to someone because I can't play to their standard. Its just crazy.

Some people are just shithead douchbags. The internet is full of them, never underestimate the stupidness of our species.

It's never happened to me as far as I can remember. Best to ignore it, or report and block the dude. It's sad that it happens, but unfortunately, people can be assholes

Never had it myself either (sure my time will come), although 3 guys have asked me if I have a XBL sub to "spare"

It's happened to me once on PSN when I came first in a TDM game also on MW3. Really just very unnecessary. Just ignored it and moved on.

I don't play online, so I haven't encountered this yet. Markface-the world is full of d1cks, don't let them f*ck with you

I've been lucky in that no one has ever really been an asshole towards me in an online game. I don't play online games all that often though.

Eh, I've been offered lots of MS Points by people to change my nick. I can just imagine how much people have been offered for the really popular names.

Lies you are the mafia :p

Chances are you did something that the other player does not agree with, like camping, or not assisting and being on your own mission instead of him "not being able to play on your standard".

But yes, like the other posters said, the Internet is full of people who aren't very nice. From experience they are usually between 10 and 13 and act incredibly macho until you meet them in real life and they have a squeaky voice. These type of people usually flock together in certain games, like the W3 / Dota / HoN community are some of the worse I have ever seen. Closely followed by the CS folk.

Be thankful she wasn't playing the pc version. The cod community is pretty much a toilet these days.
In fact I am actually considering selling my steam acc with all the cod's on xD I am so sick of getting sworn at or called a hacker...

Was is you Wyzak?! LOL

Nah, firstly it was my wife, and the only thing she was doing was using dual wield FMG9's. They are quite OP but still, is a BS voice message really necessary? Even if you do camp, who gives a shit, just dont keep going that way... I've been taken out plenty of times by campers, and often i come back for more coz I just want revenge all the time, but I don't go around sending voice messages when I get owned all the time.

Hehe, yeah I know how you feel... I've given up on games like Dota and HoN because the veterans expect everybody to play at their level and have completely forgotten that they also had to learn how to play at some point. It's also impossible for me to put in the amount of hours that it would take to reach a competitive level. Some people also just love giving others orders and completely flip out when you dare ignore them. It's best to focus on the battles that you can win...

I just love getting those messages, because someone who thinks he / she is the best is being pissed off by a lesser CoD player like me! Unfortunately I only play CoD to hear people flip out these days. I haven't taken any CoD's seriously since World at War. I totally understand how inappropriate it is though.

I've never had any abusive messages playing on Cod black ops or bf3. I can imagine some dumbass US kid doing it though hahah

I don't think this is reserved for MW3 only, i got it a few times already on the PSN network i just ignore it on all types of games also... anything with a multi-player these days has these asses on it. But not much you can do about it... unless you want to send an abusive message back, i just click report and thats it... Its just they way it is. Tell your wife not to read to much into it...
