The new dual-GPU is expected to continue the high-end ARES series.

The card is apparently going to be running liquid cooling to help manage the heat.

Should be easy to run 4K if your system had one of these.

The specifications:

For those of you wondering, the previous ARES card namely ARES 2 looked like this:

Asus is thought to be planning to release the ARES 3, codenamed Vesuvius, sometime in Q2 2014.

This looks awesome. But 2 things that really put my off this: The price (obviously) and lastly, I just don't trust setups like these. I don't know why, but I feel uncomfortable with it.

guys asus is not developing it the amd r9 295x2(thats the comfirmed name), will be running a hybrid solution like the ares 2 mind you this is a referemce card only tdp and vram are uknown since sapphire has been teasing 8gb r9 290x and considering the r9 290x double dissipation in crossfire absolutely destroys the 780ti which was rumoured to be the best even though the amd reference cooler was holdin back the cards, and neo a dual gpu card is basically sli and crosfire on a single pcb its 2 gpus, should scale like or similar to sli and crossfire in performance and it also helps it chows less wattage, and a plus for a lan rig mini itx system provided the case is big enough.

It is indeed a AMD developed card but it won't be sporting 2x 290X core's, It'll be running 2x 290 cores from what I've seen.
