ATT Cape Tonians

I definitely won't be buying!

I'll be in the market for renting; 2 bedrooms, garage/car port and maybe even a small(ish) garden for the laaitie. Would be great to find something with water/lights incl. but I know that's unlikely.

I have to say Malice is not wrong - that is also a nice option for you - stay a bit further out and use the bus. I know of a few people who use them to get to work and back

Armi lives here in Parklands and took the bus every day to Gardens, cost him about R20 a day

Please assist me in this matter. I need info on places/areas to stay/live, our offices are in the Claremont area on Main Rd. Bare in mind I have a kid and will also need access to daycare facilities.

This is just for homework and getting an idea, please help!

Thanks and regards,
Beo...

I recently moved to Wynberg. Also have a kid. I am 3 mins away (walking) from Wittebome station and his Educare. I'm very happy there and his educare is great. He is 3 and he can already write his name. Check out the Daleglen properties website for nice affordable places in the area. Thats what I did. Also right next to Claremont.

That is a bit far to drive BeoTeK, you are going to spend at least 2 hours a day in traffic that way :(

Really? I was also considering the Welgemoed area, I guess the same would apply?
DO you mean it will take that long because of traffic? But it looks mostly freeway...

Not just talking about traffic and travel times, what of lifestyle, schools, gun fights, stabbings, etc ?

There is crime like all areas, stikland imnot sure about butas long as you stay away from the area's closer to the train stations you will be fine.

There are good schools in the eikenbosch/welgemoed areas - but some are pretty expensive, but others are not so bad. Lifestyle wise, you will still see people taking walks later afternoon/early evening. I dont know if kids still play outside. But its nice areas and I feel its a bit more open and not so tiny plus you can rent houses for a bit cheaper than closer to town.

I Need to potentialy move again in November so i'm looking as well, Man I'm so gatvol of moving around Cape town.

Prices in the Cape are a bit more steep rental wise and traffic is a nightmare, but at those hours of the morning you should be fine anything between 8 and 9 is a cluster f inbound to the CBD I live 15 min away and it takes me 45min to get to work at 9am.

just buy a house in manenberg "whistling::D:eek:

in all honesty goodwood is probably a good area to look at as properties are not that expensive there and it is kind of central, not far from the n1 and shopping malls etc.

my one friend stays in bothasig and thats also a really nice area, his house is one of the oldest there still made of wood but you wont even say when looking at it.
