In terms of features and protections, there are no differences between a trial and a real license -- you get all the same features, updates, and protection.

I've used the free version of AVG 2014 and it's terrible. So much so that I think I'll give this a miss and just start using Avast instead.

People seem to hold COMODO firewall in high regard. Others say the anti-virus isn't bad, but I have used it and had problems with it. It stopped updating the virus definitions one day for some reason, and that's not good.
