The Axxess Lite accounts thats unshaped from IS.
Anybody using these accounts in office hours? What are latancies like in lets say wow or any kind of mmog.

Getting pissed of with afrihost while gaming. Even if its a semi shaped accounts I get horrible latency on weekends when there are suppose to be no shaping.
 
Well, I was using Afrihost prepaid (and still do for when I am capped) and had awful latencies in WoW. Sometimes up to 1600ms..Anyways, so I thought it was my wireless dongle giving me the problems. Then I got some money and bought 1gig Unshaped form WA (Which is what I normally use for WoW, but haven't coz of funding probs) and my latency issues were solved! :) Went back to between 300-500ms.

I found that even our regular Telkom ADSL was giving better latencies than the Afrihost one.
 
I got a WA account but also uses the cheap topup on afrihost to do my downloads. But want to switch since even when I am watching a you tube vid it was buffering like it was getting shaped.
Also got prepaid accounts on axxess but have not used them since they are too expensive vs afrihost R29. But This is the 4th weekend I just don't have proper internet from them.
So want to switch over to their light account but first need to find out if its any better.
 
I have used it, bought it for playing StarCraft 2. Back on my Mweb uncapped 384k account, which i find better believe it or not...
