I've seen a lot of people who are anti-piracy, I for one am too, but aren't we all being hypocritical?
I am pretty damn sure that when I make this statement I can say it with a straight face and wouldn't even flinch when saying it. EVERYONE OF YOU HAS PIRATED! Including myself, so don't act all high and mighty guys.
We've all been a part of piracy and some still are. If you say you have never ever ever pirated anything, you are lying, you are delusional and / or you are super rich and have never ask for anything and just got everything you ever wanted.

Very true. When it comes to anime and TV series I've got eyepatch and parrot on the shoulder award years ago. But all the games and music I have, I've bought. I guess everyone draws the line somewhere.

I'll be honest and admit I still download anime. It's either that or wait months for the series to come on DVD, and not all series get licenced - especially here. But I buy as much as I can afford - a year ago I had 3 series on DVD, now I have about 30. And I've subscribed to Crunchyroll as well - so while I do still download (mostly the new series) I buy when I can get my paws on it.
Sadly, unlike with games, SA gets badly screwed over - visit Crunchyroll via a US proxy and see how many more series they have available compared to watching directly from your own PC. Try visiting Funimation's channel - can't even watch that.
As far as games go, my last pirated title disappeared off my shelf a good couple of years ago, and everything on my PC is legit.

I used to pirate some stuff when I was a kid. I didn't ever make excuses for it, or try to rationalise it in any way.
That said, even then I didn't pirate everything - I saved up my very meagre allowance, and bought a lot of games, movies, and CDs. For the last five, six, maybe even seven years, I've not pirated anything at all.
I guess it's even so much the piracy itself that bothers me as the selfish, entitled attitudes that go with it. This idea that you're sticking it to the man is just fucking retarded.

Lol, back on a serious note though, I pirated before I knew what I was doing. I have been gaming for 20 years now, when I was younger my parents nor I understood what we were doing. It was simply cheaper.
