Back from the US

One day I'll go overseas again. My wife would love to visit the States but at this stage it's not really possible. Maybe in a couple of years.

Enjoy the trip AEB!

I still want to go there, initially i thought i'd take the usual trip to New York / Las Vegas / LA , but now it seems to be compulsory to stop over in Colorado and smoke some weed (legally) ;-) No need to go to Amsterdam anymore hehe.

True, as a tourist you can buy weed in Colorado but you can't smoke it. Legally you can't smoke in public, then your hotel also bans smoking in the rooms so your stuck there also. The only place you can smoke weed is at your own house in colorado or a friends place. Try book a private Limo, I think you have some wiggle room that way or find a weed smoker who will invite you into his home.

I might be going up to the States at the end of the year (depending on a variety of factors). If I do go I'll probably spend 3 weeks or so, California (SanFran and LA), vist my brother and sister-in-law's family in Utah/Salt Lake City (with an obligatory stopover in Las Vegas) and go skiing (and all the winter goodness) in the surrounding area. Then head off to New York/Delaware to visit more family and a friend over NYE!

If the stars align and it can all work out - I will be over the moon!

True, but it's Colorado, i'm sure there's some middle of nowhere mountain spot you can visit to smoke it, might just have to work in a hike (or mountain cabin accommodation) into the visit there...

I'd love to go to the States one day. In fact I've actually got family in Texas of all places. However if I ever go it won't be in the near future.

You're so lucky you have family there. It's like having the first access to the states.
