Bad Company 2 next week Friday!

I was so keen to play MW2 tonight but then BT told me my game was ready for collection.
Two good games....which to play :/
 
Well dude i drove like a maniac the 1.5km to the top cd. I was lazy to go all the way to menlyn. So ill be playing BC2 after the clannie tonight.
 
better install first ....the update is ...huge im still waiting but then again I have a512 line

I have a Q9450 oc to 3.2GHz and 4GB DDRII 800MHz ram with windows 7 64bit installed

only thing that fails with this game is no LAN play

also peeps can use the following.

make Bad company 2 shortcut on desktop. Right click on it and select properties add following at target. +fullproc that will force the game to use all processor cores/threads.

i think 300 or 400 megs my connection dropped now I have to re DL the update
it takes it from version 515195 to 519874
 
Can we download the patch now, is there a link?

Venom, where in durbs did you get your copy, I'm thinking of shooting through to pavilion tomorrow to pick up the game.
 
CNA in Umhlanga by the light house they have about 7 copys left no one else has it Price R349.00
nope patch has to be done from game updater its not realy a patch more like a mega version update.

Do developers not know how to do simple things such as caching anymore? "WAITING FOR DATA!"

What data exactly are you waiting for when I want to access my OWN favourites list, Which doesnt even work because when you try add a favourite it just sits on "WAITING FOR DATA" again for the next 5 minutes until you actually have to cancel it.

Can someone please explain the point of the friends list to me? I requested a friend and he did as well but neither of us got an invitation.. only on the 3rd try did I get it. Then all that happens is that my friend appears in my friends list, but only sometimes... even when he is in game AND when he is online there is basically no merit to having him on the list because you cant even send a message. Also, why is the friends list disabled while the "WAITING FOR DATA" screen is up, which is every 2 seconds.

Server listing is absolute crap.. More "WAITING FOR DATA" for 5 minutes and on top of that if you want to filter by server name / ping / etc . make sure your scroll bar for the servers is all the way at the top or else clicking "Server Name" is going to join you to the server thats "behind" the "server Name" button.

I got home today excited to play a nicely polished game and found myself having to download quite a large patch and then all I see is bug after bug after bug... Ive even been kicked straight to windows twice now for no apparent reason and I'm not the only one who this has been happening to.

This game is a Beta version at best. Very disappointed in the effort that went into the UI.

The game is fun though but I refuse to play it until they have patched all these SIMPLE issues.
Cmon EA, I thought you said you would stop making crap.

P.S I still havent seen ANY iGame servers... I only found the SGS ones after about an hour of trying to refresh that list.
 
I have played the first mission this morning, looks like Steam released it a bit earlier than expected.

Nice so far can't wait to get some Multiplayer in this evening :)

The game looks good thus far :)
 
I don't have any of these issues you are talking about.

- My favorites list loads in 1-2 seconds
- Full server refresh took about 15 seconds
- Do get kicked by PunkBuster which I don't know why!

what type of line do you have speed? shaped/unshaped? PC specs?

I will check some more but looks like you are having a bad deal there.

Do you need to download and install a patch after you install the game? If there is.. how big is it and will I be able to download it from work and install it at home?

Yeah afraid so ppl say its about 300-400meg I have not found a stand alone package yet so not sure.
 
Geesh we post all the info about this game before the time yet you STILL get people that don't have a cooking clue what's going on. YES there IS a patch and it's smaller than 300MB. How do we know this? It was posted in this flippen topic! Wake up bitches!

Too lazy to go through 11 pages to find the answer to my question which MIGHT be in this thread. If this thread hinted that it contained details of a possible patch then I would've taken the time to look through it.

Take your arrogant condescending attitude and suck it.
