Bad Company 2 PC - Issues when zooming in??

OMW - so there's another issue with Bad Company 2 PC that I've discovered. If you're in a vehicle and you've got the advanced optics upgrade selected you can zoom in using your right mouse button. Unfortunately when you do this your framerate drops through the floor for absolutely no good reason.

*sigh*. There are so many things wrong with this game it's not even funny. But then again, it wouldn't be a DICE game if it was working properly.
 
Just did some google-digging. It seems a lot of people have this issue as well. It seems to be a coding issue on the game itself and has nothing to do with the user's setup.
 
For me it was the worst when I was in a UAV and I right-clicked to zoom in - I probably got 10fps. Not nice.
 
Any of you have the problem where you don't have a crosair when you zoom in try shooting someone with no crosair :D

Luckly have not had that problem.

LOL - that's the point where I would get up out of my chair, and go sit in front of the TV and forget about the game forever.
 
Yeah waiting for the next patch to break/fix those issues and sigh they still have not fixed the sluggness of the menu's

And this is why I am not looking forward to medal of honour.

Good thing I let this game go when I did.
 
How is the brightness on some scopes when you zoom-in? I think I went colorblind for a few minutes after scoping to long. They won't bring out new patches soon they are only concerned with MoH and that Vietnam thing so waiting for MOH now over BC2.

Still only the 3 waiting for the 4th one.

Sgt, don't have problems with my brightness when zooming only the crosairs disappearing.

On the one map, when you zoom in you get a white out effect effectively blinding you.
