Bad Company 2 PC - Starting over.

So I fell victim to my own stupidity this weekend (again). I was level 22 on Bad Company 2 and decided that I no longer want to play with my clan tag due to members of the clan being so rude it actually pains me to be considered part of that clan.

Unfortunately, genius that is me, didn't create the soldier name WITHOUT the clan tag, so I ended up permanently branding the clan tag to my soldier name. Unfortunately the only way to get around the issue is to create a brand new soldier name....and start all over again. At least I'm level 6 again already.

So for those of you playing online (PC Version), my name is BoerieZA.

well im not use to the battlefield combat system so i get my ass handed to me everytime i play online ... i will be a challenge soon enough, leveling however is a bitch :(

If you see a medic stick with him even if you get shot they would probably res you 40% of the time.

thats a funny story, but at least you can start again with a new name an you not stuck with that old name

No I didn't play the Beta. I got a beta key and gave it away to someone here on the forum, I think it was to Dre if I remember correctly.

The problem is, I still have that clan tag attached to my nick on other platforms as well, even my XBOX profile has that clan tag linked to it because I was a rather loyal supporter of my clan until these new bunch of pinheads came along and spoiled it.

One thing is for sure, I'll never be part of another gaming clan ever again. What a complete waste of time and energy only to be sucked into politics. Politics in gaming no less! wtf?? Stupid.

So yeah...BoerieZA will be prawning all......well....maybe not all.....but still. :D

CrzWaco: dude! I sent you a friend request on BC2....is that system just plain broken or something? Just like VOIP. lol.
 
i'm still getting the hang of the game

Since this is basically my 2nd playthrough I've decided to focus on 2 classes. Assault and Recon. The reason being the M16 rifle that's the last gun you unlock on the Assault class is simply epic. What a gun! So that gun alone makes the Assault Class worth playing.

Then you also need to focus on Recon because every flippen guy and his dog is a damn sniper on some maps with VERY few medics or assault guys on the field. So in times like that it's actually a good idea to snipe the crud out of the other snipers as well. I also find that the sniper class unlocks a whole lot faster than the rest anyways and the mortar strike is a definate "must have" in the game because it helps you get rid of those pesky tanks and the odd champion-hide'n'seek camper.

This game is all about sticking with it and actually GETTING skill. Very few people pick up this game and start owning right away. It takes time and effort, but boy, it really does pay in the end.
 
Also been playing BC2 for a while now - VERY nice, and very different from COD4 :)

Love the assault class, but i have already lvld up all other classes so i have all the gadgets that matter and can quickly swap out to another class should the need arise :)
Sniping is a pain - specially since you need more than one bullet to kill ('cept for a headshot, but that is almost like winning the lottery). So after i unlocked the artillery goggles last night i dont think i'll be playing sniper again... I hate the sneaky-sneakyness.
Luckily, snipefest matches dont really exist, or certainly dont exist as in COD4, and the team with the most snipers will almost certainly lose. :P

As a matter of fact, i feel the balance is very wonky with the dmg model for all classes... sometimes I empty an entire clip on an enemy but they just wont die... I've played hardcore modes, and its better, but not much better. Anyway, i hope the game gets some tweaking, but all in all its very good.

"TEAMWORK" is the phrase that pays, and people seem to forget that (k, 'squadwork' would be more appropriate :P )
If you are a good player and are in a good balanced squad that knows how to play (with mixed classes), it is an awesome experience and you will almost certainly win the match for your team, AND get a great score as well.
 
I exclusively play hardcore mode. I find the game a lot more challenging and the weapons are a lot more fun. With any sniper rifle I've found 1-shot-1-kill almost every single time. My best was when I killed a guy who was piloting a chopper, and it was a headshot. I think my bonus marksman score was about 200.... :D

The only drawback to Hardcore mode is that the 40mm grenade launchers OWN the game...I should know because I use it a LOT lol. Noob-tube anyone? lol
 
ag i'm using it alot aswell. sometimes it works the best. popping 3 okes at one :P

That is not balance... That is the beauty that is DICE/EA Battlefield Hit-Reg. Was BF2's biggest flaw too.

There this one map with the ice and there lots of buildings love taking my Engineer and blowing all those guys out of there hiding spots in the roofs and top floors. One thing that really sucks I have to die to get ammo again since NOBODY wants to trow down ammo. I sometimes pick up other peoples weapons but its not the same. One time was running behind this assault guy and screaming at him to give me ammo and he never did so I knifed him... Can easily make up that 15 points I lose.
