Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition will be officially announced today at PAX and will be coming to Mac and PC on November 15th! The iPad and Android versions will follow soon afterwards. Because you're our loyal forum members, you get an early peek!

It has been a long road getting here, but we're very excited to show off what we've been working on.

Judging from the screenshots this looks a LOT better than the BGEE, which felt like a bit of a half-arsed effort, even though I understand their reasons for it having to be like so.

I've never actually played a Baldur's Gate game. I'm looking forward to trying it out, would like to see what all the fuss was about.

Back in the day I finished Baldur's Gate 1, Icewind Dale 1, Planescape Torment and um what else was there? Either way I never finished Baldur's Gate 2 or Icewind Dale 2. I don't know if I have the time or stamina to go through them again even if it's improved.

Oh Right....

I bought BGEE for my Girlfriend, she seems to really enjoy it. I wasn't all that impressed though, doesn't look that much better.

That was due to the bankruptcy proceedings and subsequent sale of Atari, so there were some licensing issues but they got sorted.
