Yeah... I mean if you have a reasonable setup don't go too crazy.

The main thing is to have a reasonable gpu and the correct windows. Especially for multiplayer. When the single player is out you may need to upgrade some more.

Nah, I buy directly from Pinnacle, Axiz or Esquire (got my own registered IT cc!!! ) and pay dealer prices.

Nice! I tried buying through rectron once through a friends company... it ended up costing more in the end. :O

Rectron and Core are basically the same company. They built a MOERSE warehouse out on New Road and increased their prices. That was way back, 2004ish. They moved back in the mean time but I refuse to deal with them.
There is a few other companies in Midrand that are decent. Sahara and Annex jump to mind.

Rectron and Core are not the same company. I had the same idea a while ago but they very clearly stated that they are not affiliated in any way. What lead me to believe that they were somehow partners is that they bought Rectron's old warehouse on New Road and even their pricelist looked a lot like Rectron's. But, after speaking to both parties - they agree they have nothing in common except for an old premises.

My private company was listed as a re-seller with Rectron up to very recently where they changed their policy on account suspensions. Since I do not purchase from Rectron every month, they closed my account with them. Frontosa on the other hand, have no such archaic rules in place - so they are my supplier of choice now.

People that own 8800s shouldn't be complaining.... Their card lasted many years.

Rectron's policies and attitude is crap for a co. That isn't even the cheapest.

Yes, it was a faithful servant. Will try to push it a bit, never oc'ed it in it's life. Same goes for my aging C2D CPU.
