THANKS! The torrent was so slow it was killing me, nzb all the way!
 
I checked the EA forums for feedback but there was nothing, just a billion threads on beta keys and the awful browser launcher. But apparently some people are "maxing" the game on single gpu's (5870 and GTX570).
 
Yea I also thought that one should be able to run ultra on single card setups, if you only leave off AA and AF, seeing as you don't really ever notice the quality increase while concetrating on the action. Needing 2x 580's is still a nice thought, because it shows that the game will always have more to offer if you upgrade in the future.
 
downloading... 43.92% Mweb you testing my patience. Was hoping for 90Kb/s only giving me 70Kb/s :(

Battle log looks very nice, better than sitting in a Q for ages waiting for stats to update.
 
ran it on my i5 750 stock with a 5850

when I started it was auto on HIGH but stuff like AA was off.

I then changed it to MEDIUM because it felt a bit 'sluggish' but was more than playable.
 
Sigh, and they said "Keys going out at midday, around 1pm to 3pm(GMT+2)" according to EA australia post. Reminds me of the post in the beginning of September that said "Beta starting SOON" and it is almost the end of September now.

Guess I'm getting my key at 11pm.....
 
Hope you guys get your keys ASAP. I have started a thread on SGS' forums for BETA feedback for those interested. Just somewhere to collate all the feedback we might have from the BETA itself (not the key issue).

At the end of the BETA, I will make a post on DICE/EA's forums. Whether they read it or not is another issue, but thats the purpose of a BETA :)
 
Thanks Phatso, I'm sure the guys will make use of it, there is a thread like that in the iGame Section as well, although that is less generalized and more focused on our users
 
Sgs Forums really? Whats wrong with the Mygaming Forums.

So must say the server browser being in your browser is just awesome loading times very fast no splash screens to sit throught its just awesome.

Got loads of screen tearing in one of the tunnels but after exiting and coming back it was gone.
 
Thanks for the info Phatso & Xero. Do you guys know of a more Official forum that will be "main one" in relation to battlefield 3 beta? Or is SGS in this case the most central one? I just want to be able to post information, and not needing to post it all over the place.

Lot of fun but the snipers and spawn campers are already annoying ....... to those people, really, get a life and stop playing like an ass :rolleyes:
