Battlefield 3 on PC is a taste of next gen consoles

Next generation console games will be technically on par with the PC version of Battlefield 3

Perhaps technically but being dedicated systems, they will probably be able to draw more juice from them.

Directx 11 or 12, for the new consoles....

But despite the fact of it being a 'taste' of what next gen consoles are going to be like, the next gen consoles will only be arriving in like +-2013 so there's still quite a while where console gamers have to be happy with what quality we get in current games.
