Battlefield 3 PC discussion thread MK II

Most of y'all have had your hand in the Close Quarters cookie jar for some time now, what are your thoughts on its fun factor versus its longevity?

Look its fun for a few hrs, but its not BF more COD with crap Hitreg, I like the maps and enjoy it tho as I played many hrs in COD. I am sure it will have appeal if you need a break to do something else but not to play everyday. Then you might as well go play COD their engine is optimized for that gameplay

It takes a while a while to get used to.

On normal maps enemies can only spawn in certain areas depending on the flags they have so it's easy to guess where they are coming from and where they can flank.In CQ they can spawn anywhere from either far or close and every turn is a flanking route so unless you keep track of where your teammates are and where alive enemies are you are going to get your ass handed to you.

yeah it's ok, CQ DOM makes my brain hurt after a few maps, gees man, you always moving to another flag capping :S
Gunmaster is my favourite, i really enjoy that, except when i get the launcher aaarrrggg the amount of times i have had a 5 gun lead to lose the map cause i suck at that thing :(

Scrap Metal is my favourite outta all the maps, gees it's one nice looking corpse churner :P
 
Lol @Kurike,you just make someone chase you and shoot it on the floor as you run.1 or 2 grenades are usually enough.

I made it to first place only once in Gunmaster when i shot one guy and switched targets.when the LVG came up i killed the other guy with it easily because he was taking cover after taking damage.
 
Lol if we make the Rage finals I wonder if we gonna go, half our team is from Cape Town....

anyone got an idea what the division breakdown will be on who goes to Rage, i need to work out if i should buy tickets or see if maybe we can qualify for some?

No news yet dude, its a pity but they should let the guys know before the tickets go on sale.
