**Epic Necro Alert**

So after being unable to play BF4 (a can of worms I'd rather not get into right now), I've gone and reinstalled BF3, and goodness, it's still tons of fun:D. Played some of my favorite maps last night, namely Darmavand Peak and Noshahr Canals.

Anyways, are there still any other peeps playing this game? It would be fun to get some squad action with some familiar faces/pseudonyms...
 
@Saint_Dee: I am not on every night as I am pooped and counting the days until my leave.
I still play BF3, depends who I see online and where.
 
I still play bf3 all the time. graphics are great (for 2011) I don't see significant difference with bf4 or hardline, and wow, playing those older maps brings back some nostalgic moments. Haha
 
yes! I still play BF3 because I have all the dlc and it just plays better than bf4!

I must just get a new headset as my mic broke. ya keen to squad up!
 
Hey guys. I lost all my bf3 files. Does anyone in fourways/broadacres have the latest updated game directory that I can copy?

Downloading over 3G would cost a fortune...
 
I are Mottamort on origin. If you see me ingame, at least say hi instead of repeatedly tea-bagging my rotting corpse :P
 
Sooo, I'm still playing this game and I'm loving it. It still gets the adrenaline flowing, and now I can actually dog fight (okay-ish :o).

For those still rocking the game, I'm SaintDee26 on Origin.

The Last Stand, Sidewinder and Tomahawk (if not too full or totally empty). We usually aren't a fan of totally full maps, so join any maps that have 10-20 ppl on it. Avoid BmW like the plague, since when you shoot down a chopper thats TV missiling from behind its base you get called a noob and base raper...then kicked when you laugh at them.

I also play on those two for the most part because they have a decent rotation of maps (and obviously the population size).
 
Oh yay Im so glad ppl are coming back to BF3!!!!!!!!!

Its the sweet spot of online shooters. A complete winner of a game! I've been playing on German servers a lot, get a ping of 180 which is quite playable.
SA games are always Noshar Cannals and Metro, gets old quick.

While there are 1 or 2 "metro spawnrape only" servers, theres lots to wet your appetite, from the Mweb Run&gun (tdm on nose-hair canals) to the chopper wars server (choppers only, although noone seems to obey that one :(), but as previously mentioned, the ZA iGame 1000 ticket servers (Tomahawk and Sidewinder) are where its at. Conquest thats always rotated on all non-dlc available maps...empty during the day but you queue for a spot on weekends :P

EDIT: also, I have to add, I recently won battlefield 4 during a mass key giveaway...and all I can say is PHEW, so glad I didn't spend money for that pile of total shit! bf3 is waaaaay better.

Some of the ZA servers do rotate between Seine crossing, Bazaar, and Caspian Border, even Operation Firestorm... I wish the local servers had the Back to Karkand maps though (my favorite expansion TBH).

I'll probabely be joining you guys from Wednesday... do u guys go on teamspeak or just play by yourselves?
 
Hmm, maybe I should come back to BF3, it at least runs decently on my PC and not make me wait 5min+ to get into a game.
