Battlefield 3 Punkbuster

Good Evening!

I'm currently being kicked when I log into BF3 by Punkbuster (twice in four games). I have installed Windows 8 CPE tonight (BF3 launches about 75% faster than on Win 7 btw). The reason for kick I get is the following - Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'Samildanach69' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrB.exe initialization failed. I downloaded the latest setup for Punkbuster, checked that everything is updated and that Punkbuster is allowed in the firewall.

Anybody have an idea?

Make sure the process "PnkBstrB.exe" is running.

Dont be surprised if PB does not support Win8 yet.
 
Good news,

after scrounging through some forums, I got this fix. Download pbsec.htm from evenbalance. Copy it into your bf3/pb folder and run pbsec.exe in your main folder. I did it and et voila! It works!
