Whats Better between the M16A4 and AN-94?

I seem to only be able to use the M16A4 at medium range,it's recoil gets out of hand at longer ranges and i'm barely able to hit targets.
The AN-94 seems to be good at all ranges except at long range where it loses it's damage potential.

I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong with the M16A4,i've seen Rambo killing me faster with it then i can kill him with an F2000 at close range as well as taking out targets at long range.

Deadmonkey can come post his 2c about the An94, ill post mine now...

AN94 for me is rated as the best Medic gun, few reasons

1. 2 shots = double damage.

2. recoil only on first shot

3. The best LONG range rifle by far, snipers always run away when you pot them from those distances

4. The burst fire on the AN94 is a very special 2 burst and both shots hit in almost the EXACT same spot, the M16A4 on the other hand does not.

5. The burst fire is so amazing and soo fast that often the Famas and F2000 lost close up

the downsides?

its a weapon thats going to take a while to adjust to and learn, fullauto piratically useless.

My setup:

An94 with Holo sight and grip, there is no need for the heavy barrel on this weapon, putting it on will increase recoil and decrease accuracy.

know when to burst the shots, in the beginning i'd "overburst" meaning i'd only land the first hit and miss the rest because i didnt wait for recoil to reset (this is obviously dependent on rage, closer = faster bursting, long = slower bursting)

Once you get really good with this gun you'll drop snipers at long range with 3 to 4 bursts. It is my best medic gun and by far my most accurate, just be aware its going to take practice but ultimately a gun that its VERY capable at all ranges

AN-94 is IMHO the best medium to long range weapon. And, with practice, a really deadly close range weapon.

As Buzz mentioned, those two bullets it fires are so close together that they basically land in the same spot. I go Kobra, grip, and silencer... works like a charm as silencer reduces recoil too. Also: NEVER use full auto, you are defeating the point of the weapon.

I prefer the M16A3 tbh, i just manually burst.
Try turning your interpolation slider to as low as possible and aim for the head :) In the end its all about the aim.
 
Dont know if you guys have tried this against pesky jets and choppers:

spawn as engineer with Javelin then suicide. spawn as recon with SOFLAM, place SOFLAM pick up engineer kit. Goodbye everyone in the air.:D
