When I tried to login last night after updating the day before, I had to download 3.9GB? I thought the patch was suppose to be 2GB... Yikes
 
Downloaded the patch yesterday at a slow but surely 38Kb. Went to bed at night, patch was at 2Gb. Woke up, checked PC, patch completed. Did not believe it, check game for updates, patch starts to download from the #$%^$%^ beginning.

The BF3 beta did the same, twice. They can't even get their own stupid crap software to download files properly.

I swear, computer programmers are getting lazy and more stupid every day.
 
I have had the same problem hey. The stupid patch is downloading for a 3rd time now. I have a 10mbs line but still takes like 1h30min to download every time, that is also if it stays at like 10 and does not drop. Can you not download it from an external place like BFBC2?
 
They need to release another patch to fix this patch LOL

OK seriously tho now, they have messed up the helicopters, the rockets DO NOT go where you fire, the aiming is completely out! The second i got back in the helicopter i noticed this, what's worse is that i don't even no where the reference point is now to shoot the dam rockets now, its erratic......

and here the really kak part, the stingers dont do more damage to the heli now, instead they shoot the freaking pilot out the helicopter!

No Ogbuzz i reckon that is perfect balance. Dice are pros at balance. Becuase hey atleast the FNB Stadium Lights dont blind you at 4km but anything within 40m in daylight those flashlights still blind you somehow.
 
My update finally completed. 7hours42minutes. 1mb uncapped (mweb)
It ran pretty much full speed (and way over somehow?)

Will jump on tonight to see what they managed to fix/break. :)

They had better sort that flash light issue out, it should only be effective in the darker maps!

Driving in a Humvee, tripped ONE mine and it kills me inside, but Humvee is still going! I've also seen tanks shoot at vodnik/humvee and kill the driver on first shot, but no matter how many times I've done that, nada. Two to three shots to destroy a humvee. I mean really, if a tank shell can't destroy a glorified Tata bakkie on one shot, then I don't know.

As for the stingers killing pilot, I suppose it could theoretically be possible, especially if the rocket explodes right on the canopy area.
 
Okay guys so what has been broken and what was actually fixed?

I want to play tonight, but if my game crashes again after every fucking map I'm so over this game. Then I might play it again sometime next year once they fixed their shit.

I'm really getting tired of this constant patching, it does nothing except break more stuff that needs to be fixed in the next patch, etc.

Mine went full speed, but it ones experience with MWEB does seem relative to where you live. I stay about 3km away from the main Cape Town IPC.

I gave the game a try last night, but didn't play long enough to notice any changes, but what I did notice is how ridiculously good Skyrambo is in a jet. :wtf:

But yes, the jets and choppers are completely fucked now.

Let me start with the jets. They are slower. WTP! And they now get completely obliterated by stingers. One stinger and you're done for. It doesn't seem like you can outrun them anymore either, which is pretty fsk lame because the AA LAV has a lock-on range as far as half of the map. The jet's rocket pods shoot kak skeef now. I can understand that there is a trajectory when you're strafing in the jet, but the way they made it is just ridiculous. For instance, you come out of a roll, straighten up and then try to correct your flight path towards a tank by strafing, your rockets will be ALL OVER the place. Same with the Vulcan. It's a bit too overboard, you can even aim the rockets at anything anymore unless you fly straight at it, which is kak because you're so easy to shoot at then and the LAV is super OP against jets.

The choppers rocket pods....epic fail. That is all.


Something else I noticed is that there is some kind of ADS stutter? Wtp...I was playing with an F2000 with an ACOG and when I ADS and strafe left and right, it's like there's a delay in movement. It's hard to explain, but imagine moving to one side and then stopping. Your character doesn't immediately stop, it carries on going to the side even after you stop moving. When I switch to the M14A3, it doesn't do that. It's really annoying and you can't aim at all when it's doing that.
 
I thought my graphics card was malfunctioning because there was so much blinking red, then I figured out it was the red dot sight.

The world number 1 in helicopters (attack choppers) has stated too that the rockets are waaaay off....

it seems that perhaps the Helicopter rockets and jets rockets might share the same code and they've clearly done something there, not for the better either....:cry:
 
Why can't they simply write out the fucking torches and lasers? Really. Or possibly make them have a time limit on. Like a short life battery, cause any fucking torch that is that bright, would squash batteries much like a train does a 1c coin.
 
just read on the EA forums

people are not happy, i didn't find anyone else mentioning the ads lag that tooken is getting but the two biggest issues appear to be flash lights and...the chopper aiming which is confirmed to be bugged now
