So we just received our stock of BF3!! Im sure they wont notice if i sneak a copy out with me home today:D hehe

damn all u guys with the download going.. im just gna pick mine up on 27th.. hopefully the wont be a long ass line at BT games.. :P
 
Check the guides and walkthroughs if you want to unlock your BF3 already and play.. loads of South africans online already.
 
instead of waiting just activate your game if you bought it over steam using VPN its legit, though ea says they frown appon it but they wont ban your account.

Which is awesome been playing since it came out in korea =D
 
a program called flyvpn you can do it for free. there is a trial and dc's every 20 min but it only takes like 2 min to activate your battlefield and then you can uninstall it.

You can vpn through to American or Korea or Honkong.
 
@ludjer you can't get BF3 on steam from what I am aware of :)

and yes, all you need to do is to have the BF3.exe 'decypher' via the DATE ACTIVATION and then after that, you can play as normal.
 
Was reading on the EA US forum and came across this:
'I guess someone could try that, mine finally finished installing only to run into Day 1 Update/Patch Download of 472Mbs, lol. This thing never going to finish."
It doesn't state what platform he is using but seeing that PS3 is 229mb and xbox is 167mb will the PC patch be 472mb!
Also see that people are having trouble with the hard copy that the game is "downloading" when installing but it sounds like it could be that origin is "downloading" it from the disk and not from the server, really hope so can't see that they could mess Origin/install up so badly.
