So when someone's trying to lock on to you, just check your radar and do a sharp turn in any direction. Heatseekers are completely useless tbh. Also, another reason why it's a fail is because while you trying to lock on to someone, you could have killed him with the cannon long ago.

Thx,i also noticed that when someone locks on to you with a soflam you get no alerts or anything.even when a javelin or a guided missile is coming your way,i killed a few helicopters with the Jets guided missile to other day while a soflam was up.

BTW,does the ECM replace the extinguisher/middle slot.

Yes, it does, ECM is your friend, i have now learnt a way to negate the javelins, still takes practice, but it will get there :D

Hey dude, yes, you don't get an alert for the Javelin. It just suddenly starts beeping. Then you have about 1- 2 seconds to make a move. Mostly, the javelin starts circling around the jet. You just fly down and it hits the ground.

Yes, ECM replaces flares or extinguisher.

SOFLAM marks a jet, chopper, tank, buggy

it then allows an engineer to "see" and lockon to the marked target, even if the engineer can "see" the target.....aim, lockon, fire
 
u place the soflam down and camp somewhere ... tell your teammates soflam is up and it marks/targets enemy vehicles in its range ... then teammates can use javelins on the marked vehicles, aircrafts included ... so no more need for the dinky toy stinger ;)

I found a way to counter the javelin, what shall we call the javelin now?

It's basically fire and forget,one of the greatest joys is shooting down a jet with a guided shell from a tank or a guided missile from another jet.

Some guy in a frogfoot was bothering our team the other day and no one on our team tried shooting it down (rush),so i went sniper and set up a soflam then got in the tank and fired a guided shell at the guy.

Hahaha, dude, I'm the wort hey. Can't play this game for shit! :p I set foot out of my jet the other day, but ended up with a 2 for 100 score :( :(.
