Been wondering when this would hit, I think due to the redone Caspian, Firestorm, Gulf and Metro maps, this will be the single DLC map bundle that non-Premium members will almost definitely buy.

Battlefield 4 DLC map pack Second Assault should be coming to PC in February, according to an EA representative.

It came from a web-chat between Origin user ‘Dhruv’ and a member of EA’s Customer Experience team. When asked if there was a release date for the DLC on PC, the rep replied, “It should be available in the month of February 2014.”

how can they do this if the game is still broken i mean realy i still have issues connecting to some sa servers where it will just not let me join.

I thought the decision was made to halt all projects and fix BF4 before they release anything else and then this drops.

That was a token statement, waited until the internet heat cooled down then bam business as usual.Gotta make that Call of Duty Amount of money.

+1 money is money and if you can get from selling crap then go for it. Still sucks how BF rapes gamers with DLC

EA doesn't really care about you or your enjoyment. They just pretend to care so long as the internet is angry at them. The moment things start cooling down they stop caring.

and i'm preparing to buy my BF4 premium tomorrow :( i'm still between a rock and a hard place about that decision though

Should we really believe anything these customer service bots say? They might be working on outdated information on their side.

However, it's equally plausible that EA is just hoping that some bugswill be fixed and wil lcontinue their rollout of expansions.

Let's put it in perspective - Battlefield 3 is still buggy in many areas. If they halted DLC rollout to fix all the bugs, we still wouldn't have all the BF3 DLC released.

Well, the problem is that EA promised that they're halting their DLC rollout until they've taken care of all the problems. BF3 is still playable for most people despite the few remaining bugs. BF4, on the other hand, is still rendered unplayable to many people because of bugs and other major issues.

In the end it's a problem of EA saying one thing and doing another. They're in a position where they really have to work hard to win back their customers' goodwill and breaking promises won't help much for that.

Guys, remember, Second Assault was the first DLC pack released on Xbox First - Exclusively. China Rising was actually DLC 2. It was ready for release ages ago.

I haven't touched BF4 in a few weeks now due to some of the bugs. I have premium so will be getting the maps. Just hope these maps don't bring along their own set of issues :/

Even though a friend of mine bought BF3 Premium for me I found very few people playing the new maps and keeping that in mind with BF4 I can't justify the full price for Premium. If a special comes along I may buy it but otherwise at present I'm not interested in getting Premium.

Guess i'll fork out the 500 for premium and get it over with because i can see some of the future maps being good and fun, but like James said mybe it's a misplaced bots ideals and it doesn't happen and they do fix all or most of the bugs first

Dude, convince me to buy premium instead of just buying the add-on maps when they're released. What are the benefits to being premium, exactly? I bought China rising for R120. vs the R500 it would have cost to get premium. In my opinion, I saved R380.

well it's not to say that the other DLC's will all cost around there i mean look at some of the BF3 dlc's they were 299 and 399 but i got premium when it was announce for BF3, sure i feel you that the few extras you get isn't that epic but for some it is nice to have like the new special assignment i would love that :p

maybe i should wait till a price is announced on the next dlc to decide if it's more than 120 then or even 200 then i can see 449 being worth it instead of paying more over a longer period if the DLC's aren't cheap

If you don't buy Premium you get screwed over with long waiting times in queues.

Server queue priority is one of the main reasons why I refuse to buy BF4. I really strongly didn't agree with it in BF3 and I'm appalled to see it made it back into BF4.

That's weird. I'm not premium at the moment and I've never experienced long waiting times in queues. I guess it's because MWEB has so many servers, if the one is full with a huge queue, most people just go over to the others. Problem solved :)

I'm also going to wait for the new DLC to become available. I'll compare the price for premium against that and if premium still seems like the better way to go, I'll buy it.

Well if you join a server with a long queue you supposedly get higher priority to join next over someone who doesn't have Premium.

  • More content.
  • Double XP events.
  • Queue Priority.
  • Early access to all DLC.
  • you essentially get 1 DLC pack free due to over-all saving.

You're comparing 1 DLC's price (R120) to the price of all the DLC packs and additional benefits combined (R500). If you buy all the DLC's separately it will work out to R600 in the end, which is more expensive and you have no benefits.

It's not that bad at all actually. Amount of local servers are impressive and if you go console, you'll never have that issue.

Yeah, it shouldn't be too much of a problem now, but wait until the end of the year or next year when almost everybody and his cat has Premium, then you might start having issues getting onto servers. Same happened with BF3. During the last few months of BF3's lifespan I really felt my lack of Premium working against me.

I'd sometimes spend 2 or 3 minutes in a queue then get to second place only to get knocked back to 4th or 5th by Premium members also queuing.

well lets all wait and see what happens if the dlc drops i'm still tempted to buy it tomorrow though and just get it over and done with :p
