Battlefield 4 gets netcode improvement patch

I think the patches are great news, but to answer the question asked in the article: Yeah, it's a little late.

What's also more concerning is that DICE don't seem to carry over the fixes they make in one Battlefield to later Battlefield games. BF3 suffered a lot of similar bugs that BF4 launched with, however, those bugs were fixed in BF3 long before BF4 were even mentioned. So why didn't they learn from their mistakes?

From what I understand, EA are moving away from DICE as their Battlefield developers and the new BF Hardline is made by someone else. Was it because EA is using DICE as a scape-goat for the balls-up that is BF4? Or have DICE decided to move away from the draconian company that is EA? I'm thinking it's the latter. EA is a terrible company and they have a talent for screwing up titles due to their money hungry attitude.

I'm looking forward to playing some BF4 tonight and hopefully the patch makes a nice improvement. But the game is nearing its end in my opinion, so, too little too late.

hardline seems almost nothing like Battlefield to be honest, its just the brand name. I could be wrong, but I would assume BF5 will still be made by Dice, or what ever large environment battlefield MP game comes out after 4.

True that. Apparently the game is so different that the whole Battlefield title added onto it is confusing a lot of people lol. Well, if DICE are involved with the next (proper) Battlefield game, I seriously hope they get their act together and incorporate the fixes from previous titles. Seriously, going through the same motions with every BF game is seriously getting old now. They got sued for BF4 for crying out loud!

Could be because DICE is working on Star Wars Battlefront 3, http://battlefront3.net/about/battlefront-ea-dice-reboot/
