If I should get this game, I'll get it. I'm in no great anticipation for this as I was when Battlefield 3 was released.
It was vastly different than its predecessor.

I enjoy playing in a clan -- but much prefer playing alone, that way I don't feel rushed (so-to-speak).I think some of the new features they have shown are pretty awesome. But its pretty hard to tell how it will impact gameplay admittedly. The vids they have shown are obviously staged and perfect communication situations, where is in general MP doesn't work out like that unless you playing in a clan.
I'm a bit disappointed to see that server queue priority made it back into Premium, seeing as a lot of people were disgruntled about it, including loads of Premium members. I bought BF3 Premium blindly, and upon finding out that it was prioritizing me in server queues I disagreed so strongly with it I pursued a refund from EA, but they refused to refund me for it based on the fact that the information was available before I purchases it - which is a fair reason to deny a refund, I guess, but I still feel queue priority is wrong. Base BF3 customers also paid money for their game. They shouldn't be put at a disadvantage in server queues simply because I paid more money.
I've decided to skip BF4 altogether. It just doesn't seem to do enough new to warrant another two years of MP. They really shouldn't have gone with a modern warfare setting again. I've decided to rather stick with ArmA2 (or 3, once that fully releases) as my MP game of choice.
Yes, but ArmA3 does not play anything at all like BF. ArmA3 is both bigger in scope and offers more varied gameplay. In BF I'm playing it pretty much the same as I did in BF3 and BC2, so the setting is much more important to the overall game for me because it spices things up a bit. I think DICE should rather have gone for a more futuristic setting or gone back to Vietnam or something with BF4, instead of yet another modern warfare shooter in a market flooded with them.
The ArmA series also has full mod support, meaning you can install mods that change the setting entirely. I just feel that at this point if you had to compare ArmA3 and BF4, ArmA3 is by far better value for your money.
