Battlefield 4 SA retail pricing revealed

I think last year I payed R399 preorder for bf3 so seeing at how many hours I played the game and how fun the game was I think R440 for bf4 could be worth it as long as the game is good and keeps me entertained as long as bf3.

Jeez, PC gaming really has taken a hike in pricing:eek:. I bloody paid R350 for BF3 on launch day. R450?!

Yup, I paid the same. I can't believe that they are asking this price. But now that BF3 is a "Premium", "AAA" title, they think that they can charge whatever they want for it. I really enjoyed BF3 and I am keen to see what this has to offer, but I'll probably wait for a couple more gameplay trailers before making a decision.

Too soon, I feel. Still feels like BF3 launched the other day. Also, R450 ... nah. Got plenty of other games that'll keep me busy.

Honestly, I was going to buy BF4, but the price tag coupled with the fact that it is not the Battlefield I am looking for, I'll pass on the launch period, maybe I'll reconsider much later with a price drop (a big one).

Paid R280 for BF3, kalahari discount voucher. So that was ok. But I don't think I'll get BF4 unless it is something really special.

Dude, I'm going to be paying about R450 for Bioshock Infinite which I believe is totally worth it, but I'll probably still wince as I pay that much for a PC game, but for BF4? No ways! Price drop or they can get their money elsewhere (not it matters in the grand scheme of things). How special can it really be (Tech demos aside) as opposed to its predecessor?

I would agree, if this whole pre-order/announcement didn't seem slightly premature. Its only coming out next year, why the hell they making so much fuss about it now? The last DLC just came out for BF3. Still either way, will be getting it. Need to upgrade my pc anyway.

It's coming out during their fall and whatever our equivalent season for that is. Probably a 2013 Q4 release.

Well CoD is R499 for PC - people paid it and still do. Therefore, no reason to bring down prices or keep them where they are when, based on sales figures, people are obviously 'willing' to pay more.

Personally, I've become very good at waiting for price drops no matter how long they may take. Not exactly short on games to play.

Yeah, count me out:rolleyes:. The trailer, which I've yet to see, will probably impress me, but not R450 impress me :p

The problem is, I tend to forget games that I've put on hold for the invariable price drop . Max Payne 3, Hitman, Dishonored, XCOM, Blops II. New games show up and my short attention span goes "oooh, new shiny games" (if, of course, their price is right).

Do you still want to play XCOM?
