Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Multiplayer

I have a dual core with a 4870 and it runs on full res with high between 45 and 60 frames, so there is no doubt that there is something off with your system.

I have a small technical glitch it seems on my scorecard, its no biggie, I would just like to know what the jumbled word is next to score?

I believe all has that 'glitch'. Shows the same for me. Don't know what the word says but i believe it's your current ping. Have a look every few minutes you'll see it change. Not sure though.
 
Dual core 2.8ghz
2gig ram
8800gts 320meg

Server Igame 16 players.
Getting with fraps 41 fps Setting all low. I took a screen shot with fraps but it did not screen shot my whole screen and the 1 is cut of so it says 4.

mp_kills_deaths - ping - score EDIT: Actually, that is not ping =) *starts googling*

EDIT again: Ok, apparently it is ping but its broken, so the correct ping does not get displayed. I can confirm though that the correct ping is displayed on the Logitech LCD keyboards.

I want to turn FRAPS off and see if there is a difference, but the effect might just be my mind playing tricks on me, simply because I can't see the actual rate. Is there any way to see current FPS rates without FRAPS?

If you don't notice any real change in FPS then FRAPS probably isn't your problem.
 
Probably. But I don't want to mistake a change when there is none, which is why I kinda want a way to see physical FPS rates to know for sure.
 
We've been doing some test on our side regarding FPS etc, will post some results soon
 
This game is retardedly addictive. I've been playing in a squad with a few pals, and we get the Gold Squad pin every time. :3
 
I must say that it FEELS as though I got a better FPS with fraps off, but it was a small server with only a few players.

And ... has anybody else got their stats been effed up? I can't select any unlocked guns, and I don't gain exp at the end of rounds...
 
For those of you who wanna play, brace yourselves for a 320MB patch.

Beware: my stats have been reset for some reason after installing the patch. It might just be temporary, but people reported that they also have the problem.

Sockmonkey, thats the same frame rates i get! But does it feel smooth for you? For me it's so jerky, in single and multi-player i can hardly play :(

Nope, its really smooth in both MP and SP, more so in SP though. With your rig you should be able to run the game on fairly high setting without any jerkiness. Do you have the latest ATI Drivers?

Hopefully the new patch will sort out the problem.
