Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Multiplayer

Ok so you have a great round 27 kills 4 deaths you collect 6 tags unlock a whole host of medals ...and you think wow this is going to make my stats look great ......and my unlocks go crazy ......................................then you get disconnected

All gone .....all gone all gone

Just that rounds stats or the entire profile ?

Rofl, when I unlock something great I tend to leave the game, just so that the stats get saved :P

They're just stats guys... :D

Epeen in BC2 is measured by a players ability to decimate full squads with ease and finesse, not by having "the highest KDR ZOMG!!1" :D
Well, thats just my 2c atleast. Play again, you'll get those awards in due time.

Its not just the stats its about the time and frustration ,lets be honest BC2 is fun but its not easy at times esp when you play against skilled players so to do well in a round is a personal victory to have proof that you did is even better ..

i hate the vehicles whores that camp the vehicle spawns all the time ...

anyways ... gave someone a headshot with the repair tool :D

OH and BTW, BFBC2 stats are counted via the server & the client and used in conjunction with punkbuster to prevent cheating....so that round with 27kills 3 deaths lalalalal-lalalalaaa WILL still go to your stats on the EA site - unless you crash AND the server crashes.

well thats good news .....
But Question what about the the Tags & pins? If what you say is right then they should have stayed as well ?
Remember this was mid game ??

Not too sure exactly.
I also had the pleasure of a mid-game crash on probably the best game i've ever played the other day :| (is this a conspiracy?? ;P )
Also thought i lost all my stats, but I saw I did get my global xp and class xp when I logged back in, cant say exactly about the pins because i did not focus on what pins i unlocked during the battle :P Though I could've sworn I did see some new pins...

LMAO I didn't even know you could kill someone with that thing!!! Gonna try it tonight :D

It's even more fun killing someone with a defib. But the most satisfactory feeling is when you headshot somebody with an RPG, because they ran into it :D

If you lose connection to the EA server then your stats can't be updated, and for some bizarre reason EA does not cache this data to best sent later. If the server you played on (SGS, iGame etc) physically drops you, I think the stats and pins do in fact get saved.

i disagree i dont think they keep your stats

i find myself preferring rush mode these days. it's like what titan mode was in 2142. alot more focused and you make alot more points!

Question why is the lantecy in bfbc2 always between 100-200ms on local sgs servers.
Sudnt it be like between 10-50ms???

I think the sheer size of the game ie the number of players/tanks/heli/destructible enviro etc pushed the average ping higher than say one COD4, if I remember correctly BF2 also had the same elevated pings.

To answer, although the question is regarding SGS and not iGame, The ingame "Ping" tab, shows TOTAL roundtrip latency.
This includes your traffic to the server, several server side cycles of calculation and then the trip back.
This is not true "Ping" as the ping time you are used to from games such as CoD 4 etc is only a one way counter.

This will be addressed in future patches by DICE, I have confirmation directly form them, and will either be labeled correctly as "Latency" or reduced to show one way ping time only.
You really should be reading our forums though, that's where this question was asked and answered during the Beta period already ;)
