Yeah, makes sense. I had the wrong idea, thought of Star Wars game built on Battlefield. I never played the previous Battlefront games, tbh, I didnt even know about them. Only because of DICE and Battlefield that I showed interest in this. But, yeah, will give the demo/beta a bash.

That's what I wanted, to be honest. Battlefront with the depth of weapons and levels of battlefield, and half the fun for me is unlocking new items in battlefield. But that's not what we getting. But I enjoy 3rd person games, like Gears of war and mass effect. So it has potential for me.

For the last two weeks or that I have have played, there have been a server with more than enough ppl to enjoy a game in the evenings. Only the one server, but it rotates game mods and maps.

Here is the latest update readme from 3 Nov.

I have this issue where sometimes when the new map loads, the game hangs, have to hard reboot my PC to get back to windows. Doesnt effect BF3, 4 or Battlefront.

I dont know how long the game will still last or about the SA community strength, but its seems popular with a dedicated group of players in SA. Many of the guys are medium to high ranking players, meaning they have put some serious time into the game.

But I think its worth it, in all honesty, I am enjoying this more than I am Battlefront atm...

I hope the drop in price will make more ppl buy the game.

Exactly this! You will find an influx for a few days/weeks but then I suspect it will die down again.
 
Has anyone encountered this error? I'm about to go into hulk smash mode. I've tried everything including reinstalling DirectX

It happens when i try to launch the game.

Have you tried to repair the game? In Origin, right click the games portrait and click repair game.

Yep no issues found. Installed BF4 last night and have the same error upon luanching. Switched to BF4 32bit and that works. It makes no sense.

Edit. Managed to fix it. Had to download a 64bit version of dinput8.dll and pop it in the game directory. weird.
